    PRE-GAME DISCUSSION: Knights v Manly [Round 14, 2020]

It'd be good if someone from the inner circle could explain the thinking here. We've had unusual and frustrating selections int he past, but in all my years following Manly I don't recall so many at the same time. Some of these young guys deserve a go and we really need them.

Next week’s team and the rest of the season

With both first choice props likey out, at least Sipley is likely to get his first run this year. I was at the Broncos game in Brisbane last year when he went down, he'd been coming along very well. As others have said, seems to offer more than some of the others and surprising he's not been...

Next week’s team and the rest of the season

Never thought I woudl say this, but if its the same old Jorge on the wing and Elliot at fullback, I'd find it hard to watch the game (although I know I am incapable of not watching Manly). Love Jorge and what he has done, but time is up for all the obvious reasons. I like Elliot, but he has...

    PRE-GAME DISCUSSION: Manly v Parramatta [Round 10, 2020]

No -- just the ticket. Enjoy the game!!

Home games at Brookie - members ballot for tickets

I must say, driving to the ground, parking next to the Jane Try stand on Alfred Street with plenty of spare spaces, sitting up back in front of the coaches box ...... bloody great experience. Tough times for all and looking forward to a packed Brooky again, but it was a very well managed by the...

    Members ticket ballot for Gosford?

I'm going as well. Will be on the Central Coast anyway this weekend, stoked ...

    PRE-GAME DISCUSSION: Manly v Sharks [Round 7, 2020]

Interesting piece on the Steve Rogers Cup - Sea Eagles have won 19 of the 23 played. So one sided --- it'll mean more to them to beat Manly than the other way around. Hopefully the trend continues - 20 from 24 has a nice ring to it.

    Defence

Agree wholeheartedly - but also note that those other 4 contender teams above us on the ladder have similar or less points scored against them to date. We've really got a team this year and assuming we can survive this injury period and get everyone back for the finals, Manly can challenge...

    Raiders good spirit

I remember one of the Burgess brothers doing similar last year when he tore his hammy then. Wighton did the same yesterday - which you would expect from a SOO team mate.

    Poor Old Ricky

He has matured a lot as a person and a coach over the past 10 years. His comments after the game were realistic (in terms of his own team) and gracious (regarding Manly).

PRE GAME DISCUSSION: Manly v Broncos Round 5, 2020.

Would be exciting if true. I like Elliot a lot, but Funa woudl be a better option on the wing if ready.

Game Day: Parramatta v Manly, Saturday [Round 4, 2020]

TC I don't agree with you at all, like most or all others. I also don't think that the NRL statement that it was an incorrect call was a political decison to quit things down, which you suggested (particularly since Annesley has also come out and said he is at least open to using the video ref...

    [Resurrected] Paseka

Very dissapointing effort. Given the other options Des had, hard to see the case for keeping him going.

    Lol @ Broncos

    Fair point.

Sorry Dan, just made the same point. Exactly that.

    Lol @ Broncos

Broncos last night were a lot like Manly under our previous coach, so similar. As a JBB said, Manly are coach killers (particularly of Bulldogs coaches). Tighter turnaround for Thursday, but the Broncs will have to fly to Sydney and then do the drive, which may even it up. Manly does...

    Manly linked to Jason Saab

I love how most of his highlights are against us. Very impressive, the height, acceleration and he looks strong as an ox. Put him on one wing and Burbo on the other in a year or two ... and then I remembered the salary cap.

    Good early signs

He spilled the ball in his first tackle and that seemed to blow his confidence. Looked like he didn't want to run full belt at the line from then on for fear of losing it again. Someone needs to coach him on how to hold possession through the big impacts. If anything, he looks bigger and...

    Garrick's goal kicking

He's an 80% kicker, which is close to what Mathew Ridge used to get. Had an off night.
