    2026 Team (Fill the Gaps)

I believe Talau is on $220k, and Saab is on something in the range of 250-350k. We are paying Koula an (unknown) salary based purely upon potential, and Garrick another unknown salary, that was put in place to keep him away from the Knights.

    2026 Team (Fill the Gaps)

I genuinely think Croker will medically retire. Zaidas Muagututia has gone from S.G. Ball to starting NSW Cup Hooker in something like two months. I think he'll debut later this year. He's a good defender from what I've heard. 1. Turbo 2. Saab 3. Koula 4. Garrick 5. Hopoate 6. Brooks 7. Fogarty...

    Jamal Fogarty

Most neutral commentators are saying that's unders, if anything. Walsh and Large are primed to replace him and Brooks whenever. Third year effectively ensures that we don't blood them too soon, either. I don't see how this is a bad deal. Poor foresight, sure, but given how few halves are on...

    Jamal Fogarty

Something that hasn't been mentioned, now that it looks like a three year deal is a certainty, is that Jamal is actually a better goalkicker than Garrick. Wouldn't be surprised to see him replace Garrick there. ~80% vs Garrick's 77%, although Fogarty has been trending even higher in recent years.

No Walsh again in Flegg. Must be injured and suffering a setback. Laiafi starting again. I recall he was preferred on the bench last year, so must've been a good improvement in his fitness levels.

    Pre-Game Panthers V Manly [Round 8, 2025]

I think Navale will play. Someone in our arthritis patient list will certainly drop out. Honestly, I could genuinely see five of the players named dropping out by game day, especially based on Seibold's comments. I actually like Talau on the bench. Given the known "durability" of our players we...

    First coach sacked.

We'd certainly be a lot better at paying people unders. DCE will save that money for himself.

    Jamal Fogarty

Apparently he's fielded a $2.1 million offer from someone, and there's three other clubs in the mix. I don't think we end up with him, even if we're the most publicised. I think Onitoni may be ready to go next year. Brooks has been doing all of the kicking recently anyway, might be a long term...

The Litmus Test for our Season

Bit of a ramble incoming... 2023 was Seibold figuring out what was wrong with this team. He clearly read Silvertails, because he immediately changed our style in 2023 to be more direct, and moved Jake to prop. This didn't work. We simply were not competitive against the teams that were better...

    The Elephant in the room

Amazing, we are asking the exact same questions as we were in 2018. "Are the DCE and Turbos overpaid?" Imagine telling the people in that thread, that seven years later, not only have we not won a premiership, but we have only made the finals three times, in non-consective years, had Barrett...

    First coach sacked.

Imagine O'Brien gets sacked before Dylan Brown even gets there... And they're stuck with his stupid decision until 2036! If you think our club has problems... There's always someone worse!

    Pre-Game Panthers V Manly [Round 8, 2025]

    It's looking like: 1. Turbo (?) 2. Saab 3. Koula 4. Garrick 5. Hopoate / Talau if no Turbo 6. Brooks 7. DCE 8. Aloiai 9. Simpkin 10. Taukeiaho 11. Olakau'atu 12. Burbo 13. Tevaga 14. GCKT 15. Brown 16. Navale 17. Waddell As per late outs in the NSW Cup fixture.

Coach Seibold thoughts so far.... so good

Still early days. Seasons can turn around, and we certainly can. In 2021, we looked like spoon certainties, a lot worse than we currently do. We made the Top 4, after Turbo returned. Unless Turbo gets a season ending injury I'm not writing us off. Also, imagine if Nathan Cleary did what DCE...

    New Props for this year…

This game, if Turbo is back, is shaping up as probably the biggest ever mismatch in quality between the backline and the forward pack lol. Only Olakau'atu will be a first-grade standard starter, meanwhile you have all of these near SOO level guns in the forward pack. For those of you who don't...

    The Daly Cherrygraph

Just for some stats to confirm what your eyes are telling you... DCE has had one try assist since his announcement. Six before then. He has clocked off.

    Ashton Large

No info as of yet, but apparently "long-term", from one of the articles about them a a while back. Say what you want about Seibold, he's bloody good at getting great talent through. Take a look at the list of players that debuted/established themselves in first grade under him, such as Haas...

    Ashton Large

His brother already has a thread, so I thought I'd make this one to mask over a pretty bad week for first grade, and give some good news for the future. Ashton Large, who is 16 (maybe? Said to be a year younger than Onitoni, and was definitely 14 in Sep 2023), is bloody looking good coming...

    Lehi Hopoate

According to the Tigers, he was 14 in September 2023, which should put him at about 15-16 right now. Would presume he is currently 16 then, maybe born late 2008. If his birthday is the 5th of October, 2008, he is destined for absolute greatness here, that's for sure!

    NRL Games [Round 7, 2025]

Dogs have shades of the 2020 Panthers right now, in my opinion. I think Ciraldo may have been the key to the dynasty. Newer generation players, who weren't coached under Ciraldo, haven't been able to fill the gaps as well. Given the Dogs very much seem to be on an upwards trajectory, that win...
