    Global Eagle is correct. Maybe this was very localised slang at the time. Loses a lot of romance just calling them condoms. They were social media to assist social interaction. A deal maker or breaker at times.

    I intended to upgrade to premium membership this month anyway so I just did and the site speed went from snail mail to ballistic straight away. Perhaps it was coincidence but I think Dan deserves to earn a quid anyway with all the work he does for this site.

    Remembered a late starter. John '"cracka" McDonald was a professional runner and at one time held the world record for 400 metres. I knew he did some pro running in Queensland but did not know the extent of his career. apologies if he has already been mentioned.

    Throw in Bob Bartlett, wing or centre for Manly and won Australian Lawn bowls championships. Not an established boxer yet but will nominate Darcy Lussick as a champion for flattening that flea Hodges. Manfred Moore (NFL running back) to Newtown rugby league as ball boy.

    A lot of European soccer players are champion divers. More seriously I knew of this guy but couldn't remember the name. Alan Walker, he played RU for Australia (which does not count I know) but also cricket for NSW and went on an Aussie tour to South Africa. played first grade RL for Sea Eagles...
