    Run Koula Run

He is definitely down a bit due to the move to the left and also time out injured but those stats are slightly skewed by his last 2 games at FB where he got 6 LBs and 23 TBs.

    Pre-Game Bulldogs V Manly [Round 26, 2024]

You're not alone. On paper we have the edge but last week we lost to a team that had maybe 2 players that would make it into our team on paper. Dogs have been incredibly consistent and we have been up and down like a yo-yo. I live in hope that last week was down to complacency and seeing as we...

This 'journo' needs to do some fact checking, it was definitely 2 fingers.

    Hooker/prop/lock. Good defence/fitness/leg speed.

    2026 recruitment & retention

Public service announcement. Ignore news from Zero Tackle until you see it elsewhere. It could be true but they have an ordinary strike rate. FWIW I'd like Jazz at Manly as depth/14. If he ever plays on an edge something has gone very wrong.

    Where will we finish?

Flanno seems like the type that takes these revenge games personally and they have a realistic chance to put a 4 point gap on 9th. Fingers crossed he has the Drags fired up

    Pre-Game Tigers V Manly [Round 25, 2024]

If we don't win by 30+ I'll be surprised. Here are 5 reasons. 1. Heath Mason 2. Solomon Alaimalo 3. Solomona Faataape 4. JuniorTupou 5. Charlie Staines

    Pre-Game Tigers V Manly [Round 25, 2024]

Sam is going OK this year, lil bit hot and cold. The real danger man is Galvin, shut him down and you shut down the whole team.

    General NRL chat

I was looking at try location stats the other day and the Dogs have conceded similar amounts of tries to other half decent teams on their edges. The real outlier is they have only conceded 6 tries in the middle, less than half as many as the next best team. Not sure exactly why but I'm guessing...

    Moving forward improvements needed

I was under the same impression so I thought I'd look it up to see just how leaky our right side is. Surprisingly our left has conceded 34 tries (45%) and our right only 29 (38%), while 13 (17%) have been scored in the middle. This is especially surprising because most teams naturally favour...

    Moving forward improvements needed

Spot on, we are 15th for offloads with 143. With offloads quality is more important than quantity. Parra are 1st with 280 and Tigers are 3rd on 225, so too many offloads can be detrimental or a sign of desperation.

Back 5 with Koula returning ?

Hate to say it but on form Burbo misses out. It's not that he has been terrible, just that the other options have been exceptional. Lawton has won the left edge BR spot and Talau is better centre coverage. Gordy adds a point of difference at hooker and I don't want to see Lawton playing there...
