I reckon Seibs thought he had a good spine with Turbo, Brooks, DCE, and Croker as the no frills hard head. He tried to put a bit of experience around that core and hope to Melbourne and extract the best out of journeyman. It’s not working.

Should Turbo/DCE Play State of Origin?

He’s always recovering from something 🤣

    Post-Game Discussion Eels V Manly [Round 12, 2025]

Arthur was woeful. The pace at which he does things is embarrassing for a first grader.

Game Day: Eels V Manly [Round 12, 2025]

I think the frustration is we won and won well last week. We also defended stoutly. A week later, against a pretty weak Eels outfit, we turn it up. It’s fine if we get beaten, but I think some of us fans are sick of seeing us beat ourselves. The defence is atrocious.

Kinda like what the Eels did just there. Lodge got beaten and everyone had to try and cover and couldn’t

Game Day: Eels V Manly [Round 12, 2025]

We should have been punching around the ruck at the line off those quick play the balls, not shift to the edge.

Game Day: Eels V Manly [Round 12, 2025]

Wet weather definitely favours the Eels, who play a less expansive game. Their forwards have started to really run with vigour. It won’t be an easy night. Last night’s result also shows what a couple of ‘outs’ can do a team.

Regardless of what’s put on the cap, you can bet the Roosters will be paying him in handshakes and paper bags so it’s a moot point.

Defence effort best part of Win

Yes, they’re one and the same but not something we should accept. He plays with gay abandon (meaning he is unperturbed by potential error). When you play like that, you spot opportunities and you pull the trigger…but you have to have nerves of steel and see the game in a way that allows you to...

I do t understand what’s different to how you see it, form what I suggested? That he costs us games with his low percentage footy.

Defence effort best part of Win

It’s interesting; the freedom he plays with is a big part of what leads to some incredible moments that make the highlight reels. Conversely, it’s the same freedom that can turn big matches against us with a costly low % play.

I reckon it’s just a rumour. Galvin to Eels and DCE to Chooks is already a done deal IMO. Thought I don’t trust Gus…

    Galvin

Media hype. It started before he played FG. His junior footy had the media calling him the next Nathan Cleary. Then, when he debuted at such a young age, it perpetuated the narrative. He did some good things and the Tigers still collected the spoon. This year, he has been a non event. From my...

‘Obsessed’ and ‘need to move on’? Coming from the guy that posts ad nauseam about a favourite player from the 70s and our once legendary premiership winning standards?!

Defence effort best part of Win

Did you notice Seibs (who is usually relatively subdued) going off his head when DCE threw the miracle ball to Tom with five minutes still on clock the other night? It looked like he mouthed ‘why are they trying to score?’ I was wondering the same thing. We’ve got the ball and the lead and...

That really does make it sound like he’s trying to wrangle more coin out of the Chooks.
