Agree with this but I would go a step further. It makes absolutely no sense for a team that is leading to all of a sudden decide they need to change what they have been doing and push the boundaries. Nothing wrong with TPAs as long as they are not conditional on playing at a particular club. If thats the case, TPAs shouldn't come into calculations at all when negotiating a contract eg Paul Gallen gets $X from Triple M whether he was at the Sharks or Dragons or Manly.
