    Kasey Badger

    Watched the whole Toyota cup game and I thought she did pretty well. Quick decisive calls and kept control of the game. She was certainly fit enough and in position, though the only thing I thought she struggled with was that she a bit quiet (in terms of volume of yelling) to the normal nrl ref...

    My take, some obvious some subtle

    Very disappointing - drove up and back from Canberra to watch Manly. The team (and crowd) started flat and never really put in. So frustrating watching people barely looking like they were trying!

    Rd 15 & 16 schedule (OMFG ARE THEY SERIOUS)

    Yeah I was hoping to as well. Getting killed with all these MNF games.

    Damaging Leak coming from the Sea Eagles camp

    So its your fault Rabs talks about district 14 country competitions from the 60's?

    Choc try

    I agree Dan and was thinking the same thing - though the refs often take the soft option so who knows what would have happened.

    Any credit for Toovey??

    I'm a bit stunned at how much bagging he got. He is a new coach so will take some time to settle in (Des did) but he's looking good to me and a Manly legend.

    Robbie Farah Fired Up on NRL on FOX as Matt Johns Opens up

    I thought the questions were rather tame? Wouldn't Farrah want to be asked about the 'fued' so he can deny it? Aren't they playing soft?

    Best thread in years! I miss these sorts of threads....

    Sowards 'possible try'

    Totally agree. My brother and I thought that was a key moment.

    Some Stats on Lussick

    From those stats Darcy played better than I thought. It would be nice to know if a lot of those tackles he was doing a Hindmarsh, or if I just missed his contribution. My criticism of him stems mostly from the drop balls last week, coupled with the one tonight. Can't afford it to happen too...

    Worst in a long time

    Probably harsh - and to be honest I don't think the loss (other than T-Rex's suspension) will hurt us that much. Better off losing games now like that then near the end of the season. It gives Tooves some pointers on what to work on and avoids arrogance/over confidence.

    Sharks = no hopers

    Exactly my point thanks Stevo.

    Worst in a long time

    That was a pretty poor performance for much of the match. Some thoughts on some players: Snake's first half was as bad as I've seen since that night at Suncorp years and years ago when he got the jitters and couldn't catch the high ball in the lights. Second half was much better. Oldfield...

    Sharks = no hopers

    You can write the Sharks premiership hopes off with that performance. They dominated everything (possession, metres, refs were helping them etc.) for 60 minutes and almost lost.

    Lussick ???

    What has he actually ever done other than get in a fight and drop lots of balls?

    The next 6 weeks

    To be honest I think we are better off dropping a couple (but no more) games early in the season - keep the pressure off and the attitude better. And I'd be pleased with 4 of those 6 and ecstatic with 5.

    The charge down stand-down: referee and touch judge dumped after Sharks slip-up

    They had to be dropped cause this one isn't a judgement error but a rule error and that is just embarrassing.

    New finals format

    1 and 2 get a home final first week.

    Ballin's binning

    Yeah the clock on the tele kept being wrong at the ends of the halves. Also it was a fair sin binning, just unfortunate as Ballin may have thought that he wasn't held (either that or was actually trying to slow it down).

    Bill Harrigan

    He can hardly say anything more talking to a mate/random person on Sunday night to be fair.[hr] The trouble is that when you are actually out there reffing you can't admit mistakes - you call it as you see it and as soon as you allow doubt in you start listening to the players hassling you...
