666 - Number of the Beast

Croker - played a handful of 1st grade games I believe, from the limited ive seen of him hes seems a plodder, might grow more into a lock type player Metcalf - Still only 18/19 cant see him playing much first grade anytime soon. Cullen - I like what he brings with his enthusiasm but probably...

2018 Manly Jersey and Training Gear

https://www.fangear.com/rugby-league/nrl/view-all.html Ive bought from here many times and find them pretty cheap and reliable, especially older stock.

Tom Wright: Where do you put him?

You got nfi. Just cause he didn't score a hat trick - doesn't mean he was sh*t. He had some classy touches and didn't overplay his hand.. was heavily marked and often took 2 or 3 players to bring him down. This created more room for the players around him..

7th tackle - Moylan, Hastings and DCE news

ummm yeah?? He's already been booted by a few clubs, and hasn't exactly set the world on fire this year.

The Joel Thompson Thread (Any Off-topic discussion will be deleted)

I have it on good authority Thompson deal is not done yet, but most likely. Apparently sticking point is offloading Hastings, looking for suitable offers..

    NYC team of the year

Saw some of his runs yesterday and he looks a real prospect

    resting players

I know much was made of resting Blake Green (and some other?) several weeks back, but if you have someone clearly not match fit and a pedestrian as DCE was, wouldn't it be wise to give him the week off? Personally id have a fit and firing Hastings or Cullen who have been chomping at the bit then...

Laughing and giggling after a loss

Taupau was also having a chuckle with his ex dogs mates, but as mentioned its the way the game is these days..

Barrett - What makes a good NRL coach?

A bit unfair to judge after a bad loss - as said many times on here, only the most diehard of eagles supporters would have had us in the 8 this year, and we are still there.. lets reserve judgement for a few weeks. Must remember we are a really young side with not a massive amount of NRL...

Game Day: Manly v Panthers [Round 18, 2017]

Gee that's a much maligned backrow: Lussick, Winterstein, Lane. This is where the panthers have it over us. Two outside backs/utilities on bench? I think Parker will only get gametime if there is injury or a blowout in score.

    Toafofoa Sipley

In my opinion Myles has been past his best for a while.. I'm not sure what these stats show, not many props play 80 minutes, and if they did I'm sure their extrapolated stats would be even better then these. He just doesn't bend the line backwards anymore, might as well give a go to likes of...

Parcell killing it in super league.

i had a massive wrap on him and thought he could be anything.. don't think he's had enough time in first grade to prove his worth. I'm sure he will come back to NRL at some point and establish himself, he's only 23/24. Anyways we got Api now, cant keep them all..

    Is this the Wright fullback?

No surprise by this selection, as I mentioned already most teams prefer a bigger body at the back.. how often do we see teams these days surge in defence and attempt to lift and push the fullback back in goal when coming out of the red zone. Hastings being a smaller guy would be targeted this...

Tom Trbojevic destined to be one of the greats

i don't think Hastings is a fullback, hes a half/hooker.. you ideally want someone with more size and height.. but I know our options are thin, possibly one of the Wright boys.. slim pickings
