    GAME DAY - Manly v Bulldogs [Round 1, 2016]

Great to see the side after all the talk in the offseason. Agreed the big call is Green in at backrow. I will be very interested to see him play. From what I'd seen he seems to be very similar to Tom Symonds, lanky, runs lines well and well... ginger. However, again like T-red, is his...

    GAME DAY - Manly v Bulldogs [Round 1, 2016]

I think we owe the Dog's big time. Not won in the last 5 meetings against them is it? In that time we've had the Reynolds dive, the ball hitting the ref on our 20 giving them the set of 6 in golden point overtime, even last year in the first meeting we were on top for long periods and couldn't...

    World Club Challenge 2016

Yeh I think this comes down to the different styles of conditioning the ESL teams do compared to the NRL. ESL is slower, and there is a lot more wrestling in tackles so a lot more of the conditioning is based around strength and not as much fitness. Boy does it show when we play you guys. I...

    World Club Challenge 2016

No, they make far too many mistakes, and too often what they say makes no sense and is totally irrelevant to what's going on. They have had a good innings and they have provided commentary to many great moments they'll be forever associated with, but it's time for some new faces with a fresher...

    World Club Challenge 2016

On reflection, I think you may be right. Wigan seemed to get over the advantage line so easily and always looked dangerous, but at the same time I never got the feeling Brisbane didn't have control of the situation. I prefer getting in the opposition faces myself. I am surprised they can get...

    World Club Challenge 2016

Thought Cows were even slower last night. Looked slow and out of shape. Struggled to match Leeds energy in the first 40. They did come out much sharper in the second, but Leeds also died off in the meantime which played a part. Also please don't take the commentary as a representation of the...

    World Club Challenge 2016

Also went to the game last night as the Missus dad is a Wigan fan. Thought Broncos looked actually a fair bit off the pace in defence. Their linespeed was non existent and they looked tired for the majority of the game. They held Wigan up over the line 2/3 times as well, they could have quite...

    World Club Challenge 2016

I was at the game last night. It was a bit of a touch up to be fair. But I wouldn't read in to it too much. As a side our defence has been infamously poor for about 18 months now. Roosters didn't have to work too hard to score points and we really struggled with the speed. As for the wider...

Former Jet could have Sea Eagles flying high

Gee the way you guys are talking up young Matty has got me real excited to watch the kid play, I haven't seen anything but the nines where I thought he looked sharp and like he had the natural ability to sniff out a try the way he anticipated kicks etc. My only concern is size? Doesn't look...

    World Club Challenge 2016

Funnily enough, I feel exactly the same from an ESL point of view. I really hate Wigan and Leeds, and want both Aussie teams to beat them comfortably. Will be at Game 1 tonight though to cheer on my Saints. Hoping they dish it out to the Roosters big time - although I don't expect it will quite...

    [Resurrected] Lol @ Parra

Perhaps I came on slightly too strong. I found your original post's to be slightly hypocritical regarding the remarks of us being arrogant, and then correcting us on what we would call success, and as per a few other posters we expect another typical Parra troll. As I've read the rest of the...

    [Resurrected] Lol @ Parra

Wow. If a team is only as good as it's recent performances (please don't disgrace yourself by including the 9's in that) then it would be pretty accurate to describe Parra as nothing short of a horrific embarrassment to it's fans, it's league and it's sport? You finished below us last year...

    Marty Taupau's Position

To say you want Marty as either an edge runner or powerhouse in the middle is a little restrictive for me. There will be games where we will need his grunt in the middle helping out (potentially against bigger packs like the dogs), and there will also be games where his edge-running will be...

    Craig Bellamy to consider retirement

Chuckling to this... His 'Big 3' are on their way to finishing and it seems he isn't up for the rebuild of the team... leaving whoever replaces him with an almost impossible job, and the club up a certain creak...

    Dylan Walker

You're not wrong, he is still talked about here as one of the greatest to pull on the shirt.. great, great memories, and one of the reasons I became a Manly fan in the end. I just couldn't get enough

    Kapow Manly

When a player's on the other side of the world and concentrating on another team, it's easy to fend off speculation and act a hardcase insisting he won't leave. It's when he gets back in and around the club and the camp that the real fight to keep him will begin. There's a lot more legs in this...

    Rangi Chase needs a home

I've commented on this guy before. He's garbage. Makes the highlight reel every year, but 99% he's sulking and just non-existent. There is a reason none of the top clubs in SL have had him and the reports over here suggest he's signing for Leigh Centurions (a Championship club).

    Hiku named at 5/8

I'm sure I read a piece when we first signed Hiku from NZ or during his first few games in the first team and in it he mentioned he was a real late-comer to league, only his mid-to-late teens. This appears to ring true because I think he has a lot of natural ability but is extremely raw as a...

    Early odds for 2016 winners

You may be right mate! Seems they couldn't bring themselves to get rid of Reynolds who may be 'one of their own'... but he's garbage! Had some talent, but too busy being a total d**k on field instead of concentrating on just playing!

    Early odds for 2016 winners

Dogs have limped in to the finals for the last 2 years and only kicked on during them.. really feel like Dogs need to win a premiership soon or their window will slam shut and it will be years before they can rebuild again. It's always cyclical as we are now experiencing!
