    Surprise packets from nines

Parcell was also my surprise. I'm not sure if there is another Hooker in the comp that gets involved as much in support play. Will be interesting to see if he can do that in NRL.

    GAME DAY - Auckland Nines 2016 February 6 -7

If Lawrence has developed his passing game he will be very dangerous with his speed and size.

    Jennings to the Squeals

I wonder if they needed the cash to hold onto Cordner. May make it harder for us to get him.

    Starlo to Titans?

I find it exciting. They are clearly trying to get the cash for someone else. Seems liked they have tried Buhrer and Lawrence and Burgess and Mateo without any bites, so are now trying Starling. The target has to be better than any of them.

    Who's who

Rhys Armstrong So it seems like the one none of us can name is the front left. Others are: Trbojevic/Dylan Walker/ Nathan Green/ Matt Parcell/ Tony Satini/ Fabian Goodall/ Josh Starling/ Addin Fonua-Blake / Siosaia Vave / Rudolph /Mateo/ Nick Hynes/Lussick Next row ? / Williame/ Hodges/ Rhys...

Anyone able to name everyone in this photo?

    BJ Lawrence future

Sounds like two good reasons to me. A third reason would be if they have a concern regarding his recovery. Hope it's the freeing up space reason.

    BJ Lawrence future

I think Barrett has seen at Panthers how crippling injuries can be to a team and is removing the highest risks. No doubt he has his eye on a less risky more upside replacement.

    Finally...explosive in the ruck

I think Warriors have strongest spine followed by Cowboys. Broncos up there too.

    Peta Hiku

What's the legitimate option here? A NZ international frustrated because he is playing NSW cup or extra cash for Cordner / Klemmer / Bird. Seems an easy choice in the end.

Manly fire sale: likely homes for potential Sea Eagles discards Peta Hiku, Jamie Buhrer

I would let these three and Mateo and a couple of others go any day if we can bring in Klemmer and Cordner and Jack Bird as we seem to be working towards / dreaming about.

    12 players in NRL limbo

They seem to have decided to move on players with a higher risk of injury. I guess Barrett saw at Panthers just how much it can knock the club around. Seems smart, and even more so if it results in a better player joining us which the club seems to be anticipating.

    Lock - who and why?

Looking through our latest Yarts and Lock is by far the position that we have most disagreement on. Taupau, Jake, Buhrer, Symonds, Leary, Mateo and Brown have all been proposed. Taupau is most common, but I wouldn't have thought he had the stamina for the minutes. So tell us who you would choose...

MWSE Squad Contract Status & Top 30 List

The club have done very well I think with those on minimum contracts. Looks like they have chosen guys willing to sign for one year only. That way they get a good look at them without any long term commitment. We need a number of the minimum contract guys to have the cash available for the best...

    Backline depth

I've liked Symonds as a centre whenever he has filled in there. Very adequate injury replacement IMO.

If walker don't come Lyon is 5/8

I'd go for Hiku. Leave Jamie where he is best and wants to play and is less likely to get injured.

    Cap issues at Manly?

We've released a lot as well: Williams, David - released Horo - Catalan Lui - Dragons Hasson - eels Blair - storm Vave - released tbc Mason - released JSL - sharks Andrews, Tyson - released tbc Cheekam - tigers Littlejohn - tigers Sao - warriors Foran - Eels Gutherson - Eels Ballin - Tigers...

    Dylan Walker

Would love to see this. We have more depth in forwards than backs at the moment.

    Peta Hiku

I've always like Symonds when he has filled in at centre.
