Sadly I think we still do not have the fire power in the forwards to do a great deal of damage next year. I still say we mainly buy players from other clubs who aren't in the top class category that have that fear factor.

Problem for Barrett is position in the backs. Have too many fullbacks and not enough wingers who can aim up in defence and positional play. Someone has to miss out.

Politics will have to be handled carefully by Barrett with the under 20's players. They have been in the spotlight more and we know if their defensive skills are up to it. Can't lose good Juniors because of hopeful schoolboy Rugby players (backs) who rarely are pressured into full on tackles...
I think one of the real questions for Barrett is how he moulds the young guns that are in Manly's 20's and brings them through to first grade.
There is some real talent here and rather than scoop up players other clubs get rid of we should not let the young ones leave.

Sevens football is next door to touch footy. Can't believe Kelly's comments on this kid's ability. His defence needs heaps of work. And this is not from tv highlights rest assured.
Disappointed in this as agreed he is hot and cold.....not as hot as he used to be. We still don't have that aggressive hard running and feared tackler that is in most good teams. Ours are too small and are not hitters in defence.
