Game Day: Sharks v Manly [Round 7, 2022]

Koula will get on for last minutes lol.

    Herbie Farnworth

I'd love to be more complimentary of them, they seem like great fellas and there's no disputing their effort. However compared to previous centres, a position the club has traditionally been strong in such as Fulton, Branighan, Gartner, O Connor, Shearer, Hill, Innes, Lyon, Bell, Matai, etc they...

    Herbie Farnworth

Remind me which match and Year either one of our centres made a clean line break!!

    Herbie Farnworth

Farnworth is a gun. Fast, runs hard and aggressively. Classes above our centres.

Cross-Forum-Discussion Round 2, 2022 Cross Forum Chat (where we mostly talk about our own teams)

Love Farnworth as a player. Runs really hard, fast and aggressively. Exactly what we need in the centres.

    Weekes is Sharp

I was at the game and totally agree.

    Des what were you thinking?

I really hope Schuster is back next week. I am worried that Des does not value the creativity he brings as highly as most others do. Other thoughts - Tom has made a lot of players look a lot better than they are. Not only does he create most of our chances but he along with DCE are always the...

    Cust a MUST!!!

Just my opinion but I think he will turn out to be a great value for money half.

    Cust a MUST!!!

    Agree with you mate.

    Cust a MUST!!!

100% agree. All successful clubs and businesses have a succession plan. Would love to see Cust and Schuster in a few years time 7 and 6. Latu Fainu currently plays Harold Matthews (Under 16's) and Jamie Humphreys (SG Ball) Under 18's. They may well be our longer term future, but still very young...

    Cust a MUST!!!

Cust is only 22, plenty of improvement in him. DCE = 3x+ his salary. Need to plan post DCE. Halves are expensive and not much quality around, evidenced by Townsend $700k a season. Firmly believe we will rue losing him (if in fact we do). Has shown he is extremely capable in the top grade and...

    Cust a MUST!!!

Crazy to let him go. DCE is 32, Foran 31 next month, we saw what happened when Funa played five eighth against Newcastle. Team hardly looked like scoring a point. Cust is a creative player with a great dummy, can create things. Will cost much more to buy another in a couple of years time. Should...

    Getting Back On Track

Main positive for me was the exuberance of the entire squad once the field goal went over. Thinking Turbo (when he returns) will really enjoy trailing Paseka and Schuster. Been very impressed with these two players ability to pop up quality ball at the advantage line and can see Turbo really...

A clean out is not the answer

    We were in Park.

Game Day: Dragons v Manly [Round 3, 2021]

I was just thinking exactly the same thing. They are the only two I would keep.

    The Take on Jake

Just a short comic skit with Bryan Fletcher, Hindy and Cameron Munster.

    Other Round 3 Games

100% agree and quality from both teams without their first choice hookers, fullbacks and in the case of Penrith halfback. Going to be a come down to watch us tomorrow with few players in motion , ball receivers standing still, halves running in circles, backs getting rag-dolled, repeat sets...

The only change that can save Des

Exactly. Only concern is he can be kick happy on an early tackle, but let’s face it so can DCE. All Des has to say to him is to be a little more selective with the early kicks given possession is so vital under the new rules. I’m sure he will heed that advice. His no look held up short balls are...

Game Day: Chooks v Manly [Round 1, 2021]

Sad, but true for many of us I expect.

    I love ya Des, but!

Played 2 matches in 2019 and 4 or 5 last year. From limited on field time at least one MOM performance and at least looked likely to break the line. Other than Paseka and Davey I have not seen any of our others look even remotely threatening.
