Pre Season 2022 - new Pics and More.

In that running shot Weekes looks like one of the Velociraptors out of the Jurassic Park movies.

    The squad takes shape

Actually, make it "Smiles". A terrible old song just sprang into my head.

Maybe something based on his initials GT like kingfish. The Genus for Golden Trevally is Gnathanodon or Jaw Without Teeth in English - which is a pretty good description for an old fashioned hooker - so, perhaps, we could call him Smiley.

What if one opportunity could change our destiny ?

I like that his highlights package is mostly him finding clever ways to set up tries for other players. A good half should generate a lot more tries than he scores. I also note how poor the defence was in most of those tries. Actually reminds me, more than a bit, of Ox.

    [Resurrected] Lol @ Parra

The fans have used up all the ice and the fish are spoiling.

    The squad takes shape

Interesting addition to the team. Didn't do much at Souths but looked pretty good at Queensland Cup level. Looks an plays a bit like Cade Cust.

Manly should only improve in 2022

That's a good hospital you're in. They obviously don't stint on the drugs :) After blooding so many good players last year and then giving those players another off season under Des, we should be top 2 next year. There was a lot of 2007 about last year. We need a strike centre to really...

I'm obviously not firing on all cylinders today: I can't see the clear links between the two statements. Perhaps you can put it into little words for me. Y

How the Rorters always get their man.

Assuredly the managers are getting a kick back of some kind as well. If they are just getting their 15% (or what ever) there's no incentive in them encouraging the player to take a lower offer at the Roosters.

I think we can certainly agree on that last point. I must admit that I'm biased. I like Donny and I probably wouldn't go in to bat as hard for someone else. Do you remember when there were allegations in the press that the Sharks and the Sea Eagles were both, systematically, abusing steroids...

    more COVID discussion

The only thing I'd argue against there is your claim that there are plenty of good trainers available. Remember that a big part of Donny's value is his relationship with Des. He was certainly one of the first people recruited when Des came back to Brookie. Unless Donny has changed a lot over...

Don can be a goose but he's an exceptional trainer and a key part of Hasler's coaching team. So, given how well we went under Dan Ferris is everyone happy to cut Donny knowing that he could be the difference between winning the premiership and missing the 8?

Donny's waiting for summer to arrive.

    Dalai

Things are getting ugly over on the 1 Eye Eel. A number of posters have accused the Dalai of clearing space in the team for his sons. A number have suggested sacking the board or (in typical Parra fashion) that the board members should shoot themselves. A number have attacked Gutho ("Capt...

    Get well quick!

The game goes the full 80 big fella. Don't think your getting an early shower. So get strapped up quick and get back on the field OK!

    The Kieran Forum

Click bait based on nothing more than speculation about what the Knights MIGHT do. I think the Shoe has found his natural role and I expect him to become the best ball-playing back rower in the comp. Sometimes he looks like a cross between Cliffy and Gifty. He's going to terrify centres and...

    Walker critics be gone

You're the beating heart of this site @BOZO. If only we could make you see how sh^t DCE really is 😉

    'ex' Barrett's Bulldogs

The Dog's recruitment decisions appear random. If a good (or more often flashy) player is available, they want him. When Des brings in a player it appears to be because he's identified an area in which he can strengthen the team and has carefully chosen a player to make that improvement. Take...

    Lawton a gun

We do seem to be heavy with utility players don't we? If Manase comes back someone's likely to end up in Blacktown. Particularly as e resigned Walker as well. Des may not be expecting Manase to come back. It's a shame. He has so much heart and so much talent.
