    The Book of Albert

My humble apologies. In Qld you finish year 12 at age 17, so lazily made the assumption.

    The Book of Albert

Not 18 years old yet. Couldn't play him if they wanted to. Just there to mix with the top squad I guess

    Other NRL games round 2

I want to watch as much footy as I can before the inevitable season suspension....but f*ck me it's not easy when they keep throwing the Bulldogs on. Man they are bog average. Remind me of one of our horror teams from the early 2000's.

    Two Bulldogs players stood down.

Allegedly indeed. Now reported they brought high school girls back to team hotel in Port Macquarie. Not saying they did anything with said girls and all allegedly of course

That's what I heard. Allegedly of course.

    The Daly Cherrygraph

Love how this c*cknose, Weidler writes: "Even big stars such as NSW, Australia and Roosters captain Boyd Cordner don’t have deals locked down for this season" What? DCE being Manly & Qld captain, as well as Aust halfback is not a big name star? He and Slothfield are the biggest germs in...

PRE-GAME DISCUSSION: Manly vs Storm [Round 1, 2020]

Agree wholeheartedly. Fittler started in the centres, as did Foran. Excellent way to get them into the top grade without the pressure of playmaking straight off the bat.

PRE-GAME DISCUSSION: Manly vs Storm [Round 1, 2020]

I was of the impression Schuster was a pretty big fella? More a lock size than a 6, in the Fittler mould? Besides....I cannot see Des EVER plonking a first game 18 year old five eighth into the hooking role against Cameron Smith.

    The TeleCrap today ....

Think thats the Gold Coast mate. Plenty of died in the wool league fans on the Sunny Coast. Plenty. Maybe up Noosa way, but that' so far up the coast they wouldn't travel anyway. Caloundra etc is league. Thats the closest area to Redcliffe.

    The TeleCrap today ....

Mate, don't be surprised if Redcliffe pitch for a ground up that way. I think they will try to appeal to supporters further north (Sunny Coast). But you could be right. Time will tell!

    The TeleCrap today ....

It has to be either up Redcliffe way, or in the Ipswich corridor. I see the merit in both. I'd assume a Redcliffe bid would include a new stadium up that way, whereas an Ipswich bid would use Suncorp Stadium. The economics make sense to use the existing stadium to me. Redcliffe were pipped...

Josh Schuster / Ben Turbo interview

Schuster sounds like he really loves the club. And DCE was his hero as a kid. Great news with the vultures no doubt circling. Sounds like a humble kid too

    Trial numero uno.

Love the idea of 1 trial. No changes to our squad (other than Levi) so Des knows what he is dealing with. Minimise the chance of some bullsh*t injury playing a pointless trial game

    Nines Predictions thread ....

My prediction is that this stuff is so unbelievably unpredictable. As long as we get no injuries, I'll be happy if they lose every game and have a nice arvo at the Little Creatures brewery

    F*ck. That is all.

    Josh Reynolds Domestic Violence

Sorry, I was wrong with the 14 year threshold.....it is 11 years. And if charged with an offence carrying that possible sentence, they are automatically stood down. No discretion. The discretion is for other serious offences with sentences under that if deemed serious by Greenberg. So I...

    Josh Reynolds Domestic Violence

The NRL cannot stand him down until charges are formally laid. The rule states they stand down any player on charges that carry 14 years or more potential jail time.

That's how good he is.

    Manly Team of the Decade

I know its all just opinions and each to their own. But I have to take exception at Tony Williams making a team of the decade. He had a fantastic 15-18 week run in 2011. Amazing. But other than that, he was incredibly stupid as a footballer, and left us at the end of 2012 having had an...
