    In Spring Browns have just come out of hibernation , a little peckish and looking for a mate , so they are more aggressive then. Have already seen 3 at work so far.

    I have heard of a few who have been bitten by them.  No great effect except their fangs can be a centimeter long so that hurts a little. Interesting fact is of 7 cases of dogs being bitten by a Tarantula , all 7 have died.

    Dan, It could be a range of spiders. More than likely a huntsman or Wolf spider. Neither will harm you. Wolfies are a little more aggressive than Huntsmans but both will still prefer to run away than take you on. Unless you annoy it. But like the great Billy Connolly once said"Who annoys those...
