    Toff for 2 more years

Agreed that it's the first solid opportunity he's had. I do think that maybe a year or two down the track and he'll likely get pushed back down the pecking order by one of our many talented juniors.

Penrith offloading a lot of players. Why?

You know, people knock on Gould's 5 year plan but he wasn't there just to take Penrith to a premiership. He restructured the pathways to first grade through all of Greater Western Sydney. Penrith have some gun youngsters coming through in Burton and Staines. There will be more to come as well...

    Ok doubters - week 2

You know, that's the one thing we've sorely missed in the last few years. One of those pests that give opposing halves hell in attack and defence. Glad that Gosi has taken on that role. Makes the opposition's halves think twice before running the ball.

    Toff for 2 more years

Parker's a good fill in and his defence is great but I don't think he'll be there for too much longer. Doesn't offer as much in attack as say Dylan Walker or Moses Suli. Also I've seen this a few times this year but IMO, Cust was to blame for our poor left edge defence over Walker. In a...

    Ok doubters - week 2

No doubt that we'll put up a fight but I don't think we'll win. We don't have the strike power to hurt the better sides and I'm not sure if we'll have the tank to keep up the high intensity game we showed against Cronulla.

    Ok doubters - week 2

Let's be realistic... The Sharks are inconsistent and they were off on Saturday. We turned up and that meant we won quite comfortably. The Rabbitohs will have Sam coming back which is massive for them and will be up for the game after their loss to the Roosters. We get Marty back but I'm still...

    Is Dce playing injured

Without Tom's pace behind the line, we'll struggle even more. Not too fussed with Garrick turning around but Taufua, as good as he's gotten this year, is still a bit slow to clean up those kicks. Big positive in the last few weeks has to be DCEs kicking game. He's been phenomenal at times in...

    Is Dce playing injured

The most disappointing part was when we rode out the initial period in that second half, got a penalty from our own half and dropped the ball on second tackle. Smith then kicked the ball dead and we had a 7 tackle set from which we dropped the ball on the first tackle. Melbourne scored in the...

    Is Dce playing injured

Des said it best. We were scrappy with the ball. The number of errors we had meant we were never going to win against a clinical Melbourne team. From the 2 attacking sets that we had on their side of the field we did score once. I'm hoping that this means we respect the ball a lot more than we...

    PRE-GAME DISCUSSION: Parramatta v Manly [Round 25, 2019]

Big opportunity for Keppie to make an impact off the bench, especially against his old team. Also likely to be Perrett's last shot at first grade. But this is probably the biggest opportunity for Waddell. With Jack and Thommo injured, he finally has a shot to start in the back row. Hoping he...

    AFB massive minutes

Would have spent some of that time in the second row covering for Thommo but still a big effort from the guy. One of the few big forwards that doesn't seem to tire through big minutes either.

    Jakes Ball playing

Agreed with everything except AFB. He's distributed the ball more than a few times this season and has thrown a few short passes to the other forwards.

    Leadership

Had those two consecutive try savers and the effort to rake the ball in the first half. Could very well have been down and out if Wighton had scored. Also had a massive kicking game yesterday. We were stuck in our half for more than a few sets and he came up with some brilliant kicks that didn't...

MVP: Most Valuable player for [Round 22: Sea Eagles v Tigers 2019]

Tom would be a lot closer had he been fit for the better part of the year. Does the comp continue into the finals? If so, Tom has a good chance to catch up and take the lead.

NRL Team of the Decade - What a joke!

Yeah, there's no consistency in criteria for selections while the majority of the "experts" are just picking who they've worked most closely with, hence the lack of Manly players in the majority of those teams. Even with SBW though, he walked out of RL after 2 years and did play in a team that...

NRL Team of the Decade - What a joke!

Agreed on Lyon. Was the best centre in the decade by a mile. But SBW was a gun. Had such an impact on the Roosters that he carried them to a premiership and they're still a force to this day. Also changed how second rowers play the game today.

    PRE-GAME DISCUSSION: Manly v Storm [Round 24, 2019]

Was looking forward to getting to the game but will be in Mudgee that weekend. Hopefully we smash the Raiders this weekend and knock the Storm out cold a week later before obliterating Parramatta en route to the finals.

    PRE-GAME DISCUSSION: Manly v Tigers [Round 22, 2019]

To be fair, CHT kicked on tackle 2/3. Would be silly for a winger to hang back that early in the set rather than apply pressure. Having said that, he probably could have read the play a little earlier.

Walker to 5/8 our X factor for finals

Agreed. If Parker were in then I'd keep the team the same but with Parker out, Croker comes into the halves and Walker goes back to centre. We also can't afford Cust's defence on the left to bring him back.

Brad Parker is a ginja-ninja machine!

I'd argue he's the best defensive centre in the comp today.
