In one way, with the game changing to 18 players on game day required, as opposed to 13 or 15 in the old days, some players just don't get enough opportunities to ply their trade.

The team selected for the Reserves this week, often doesn't resemble too much as to what runs onto the field. The players that are listed and eventually dropped on game day, go back to the Ron Massey Cup division for Penrith Brothers. Is this just an avenue to run some of the fringe players...
