    Kangaroo Merit side

    1. With Turbo & Staggs out injured, who would you put at centre ahead of Wighton atm? 2. These selections aren't based on SOO, they are based on the full 2020 season, as they are every year. Cleary was easily the form halfback all year, and cordner is the incumbent captain. No real big...

    New Rules 2021

Have seen this done unfortunately a few times in the dying moments of a game, or if the attacking team was a player down for example, so that they could re-set their line, get a breather, run the clock down, and avoid any potential ricochets etc

    New Rules 2021

Agree with 1. Unfortunately if you take away 2. all playmakers will be happy to tactically kick dead again when leading and we saw how ridiculous this got

2021 gains / losses - good or bad

Massive win. Foran instead of a useless Levi Aloiai instead of a lumbering & uninspiring AFB (new rule-change) Davey instead of a slow Waddell Saab & Tuipulotu instead of Elliot & Hopoate (5 wins) vs Thommo the only real loss (1 loss) - but after his unfortunate accident in the off-season, he...

Roosters emerge as shock contenders for Joseph Suaalii

Interesting to note the following figures: Tedesco 1.1Mil Cordner 780K Crighton 750K JWH 700K Manu 700K Keary 700K Taukeiaho 680K Radley 500K So that's 5.91Mil paid to 8 players, leaving 3.59 Mil for the remaining 22 players. This equates to 163K (HALF the NRL average) salary to over...

    Manase Fainu

Levi unfortunately doesn't have the instinct needed to know when, where, and how to take advantages of opposition weaknesses. You can't teach this stuff. Fainu is also considerably stronger and doesn't get ragdolled and pummelled at first contact

    2020 Stats

Very telling article on nrl.com that reveals damning statistics on our team's 2020 performance: Pre-Contact metres/run: Manly ranked second worst to the Dogs (significantly behind even the middle-ranked teams) This is quite alarming, as it shows a problem that is evident with all our players'...

Garner or Sirro OR both ????

We still need a replacement for Thompson - a hard working, tough as nails tackling machine. We have Gauc for x-factor, particularly in attack, but Garner will do wonders for our backrow defensively. He's miles better than Gosiewski, Davey, and Parker

Garner or Sirro OR both ????

I think you are basing your entire opinion of Siro on his 2020 season. Over a much longer period, he has shown excellent line running (Again, Suli and Garrick being "starved of the ball", didn't have much to do with Siro, but more to do with manly's gameplan I.e. our playmaker did not want the...

Garner or Sirro OR both ????

No way Garner is better in attack. Absolutely not. Having said that, Garner has by far the better tackling technique, and is defensively much stronger. We need both players

    New Winger - Christian Tuipulotu

The Jurbo role of course... but in the same way gifty had a great combination with killer, and later, dce, so too siro should focus on the right (alternating in and out with chez). This should allow us to have a gun 'edge' forward to be used as a block-busting hole runner - not a ball-player...

    New Winger - Christian Tuipulotu

No, he chose not to/was told not to. He didn't suddenly lose the ability to pass a ball. If he wears the 13 , it will allow Guac/Garner to run lines off Chez instead.
