Was i correct in thinking our club had never picked up a wooden spoon in any of the top 3 grades ?

Sadly we have picked up 2 this season

We have in the lower grades. Max Krilich coached the 1991 reserve grade team which never won a game. I'm sure there were others.

Never 'won a wooden spoon' at first grade level, which is a wonderful achievement. Parramatta on the other hand have 11 first grade spoons to their name!

Yep nothing new there kiwi.
As long as there's one or two good 20's to go into the reggies, you can wipe the rest & pick again from the local comp.

Narraweena won the premiership today under cliffy so a couple of them will be in the sea eagles next year.

Ok my bad fellas, was sure I heard a few years back that through the grades we hadn't won it

As long as the top side never do I will be happy

Definitely first grade although from memory we didn't win a spoon in any grade til the 90s which is an awesome effort when you think about it. When I say any grade, that doesn't extend to junior teams.

As much as I would have loved Parra to pick up another one, it is good to see the Titans gone from the list of Clubs never to have won the wooden spoon.

Only the Broncos (since 1988), Warriors (1995) and the two mergers, Dragons (1999) and Tigers (2000) share our feat and we of course go back to 1947.

Yeah it kinda sucks that 2 out of our 3 feeders have gotten the wooden spoon and our 3rd feeder club Parramatta narrowly avoided their wooden spoon. I wonder all this effort to get the premiership this year, are we paying the price by picking out the bets players from our 3 feeder clubs and leaving our future in jeopardy?
