Warriors stalwart Ruben Wiki is returning fulltime to the NRL club four years after hanging up his boots.

Wiki, who has had part-time roles at the Warriors after retiring on 312 career first-grade appearances, will be their strength and conditioning coach.

It means the former Kiwi skipper will link again with new coach Matthew Elliott, whom he knows from the pair's Canberra days.

Wiki played 225 times for Canberra between 1993 and 2004, before shifting back to his home town of Auckland, while Elliott was on the Raiders' coaching staff from 2001-06.

Elliott said 39-year-old Wiki was the model of the culture that the Warriors want to develop.

"What he offers as a person sits alongside the skill-set he brings with him for this job," he said.

Elliott said Wiki would also contribute in a coaching capacity by mentoring NRL players.

Other appointments announced on Friday were sports science manager Brad Morris, rehab and speed coach Dayne Norton and performance analyst Adam Sadler.

The Warriors begin pre-season training on Monday

Probably there biggest signing this year.
Something about 'Jake the Muss' that pulls the rest of the team into line

Brilliant move by Elliott. Bit like Donny Singe at manly...full respect.

On a lighter note, the video sessions should be a riot with Adam Sandler as the performance analyst (I wonder if Rob Schneider will make a special appearance?).:)
