WHy, why,why was Thurston left out of the team.
Lyon had a good game , and cant wait to see him in the manly colours.
Kite was steady , though the poms forwards outplayed ours. mason was good but know one stepped up with him.
Lockyer is the best player in the world at the moment , no doubt about it.
Berrigan shouldnt be starting at hooker.

Given that, the Poms played really well , and i look forward to the final.
    Should be a CRACKER.

I thought Lyon was pretty quiet.

    Selections cost us for sure

The outside backs,Lyon,Inglis and Tate didnt get a chance to get into the game, the Aussie forwards just wouldnt let the ball get out wide.If they werent dropping the ball, they were simply dieing with it every time.
Stuarts arrogance in resting 3 1st team players proved costly in the end,and obviously losing the worlds best centre in the first 15 minutes hurt Australia.

so changing 3 players in a 17 man squad proved costly? That was the reason Australia lost? Can't agree at all.

But I do agree that playing a non specialist halfback prolly bit them on the bum...and then to move Cam Smith there...?

But to say Lyon and Tate aren't up to it. They didn't play any worse or better than the rest of the team.

    were ****ed then

guess no one else i capable of throwing passes 5m behind the player over and over again, he is so good the touch judge couldnt even get the ball. Oh and his cross field kicks from the 20 back to the 30 are a one off too. Actucally there is another player that might be capable of these elite performances - Jye Mullane

Deadset you have to be kidding, he was awful last night, let in the frst try too

    :stupid:

    Yeah , fair enough Fluffster.
I missed the Poms first try , but i did see the passes your talking about and agree on them. I just though at times he upped the anti when it needed, but had little followers. I think Hornby may have upset Lockers game a little too. What was Hornby doing getting most of the kicks in. Very ordinary.
I would also like to see Inglis moved to fullback for the next game. It wont bother me if Hunt gets dropped for him. And King has to come back in there somewhere aswell.

    Of course it wont. ;)

he was better than hornby but that wasnt hard

    both were awful

Our boy Jamie was doing a lot of organising and defending inside hornby for most of the first half until he switched side. Lockyer had quite a few opportunities in the first half where jamie and greg had almost half the park to work in and he constantly went right. Just took the poor option or didnt want to give lyon the ball.

I think we can all see why the Rorters missed the finals these last two years, despite all their on paper "talent".

Lyon was responsible for the poms first try - terrible defense!

Dare I say (caveat that Thurston is out) Ox should have been in instead of Hornby.
