Anyone know why Manly was one of only two clubs not represented at yesterdays lunch of Club CEO's (New Zealand being the other)?

Because we are too awesome to go to a function like that.

We don't have a chairman or someone else in authority who can represent the club when David Perry is on leave? Hope he's not on hols next time the games direction/future is debated by all other clubs and the NRL Chairman.

Who really cares...Its just another event for John "Sir Lunchalot" Grant to attend and big note himself.....

Really who would want to sit there with the likes of Grant, Politis, Gould & Doust anyway....rather pull my toenails out.

No problem with him having holidays, just struck me as odd that we were the only club not represented (bar NZ) particularly given we are probably one of the clubs with the most pressing issues. Why couldn't someone else attend is my point, which is what every other commercial enterprise would do in similar circumstances. Its Dave Perry or its nobody apparently.

Terry do you really think that our pressing issues would even be raised at a fat cats luncheon.....I have faith in Perry and Co to do the right things at the right times. Have faith my son!!!!!!

I am amazed that nobody has already jokingly mentioned this but it was a lunch of Club CEO's and as Manly doesn't have a CEO, we didn't get an invitation :p

I believe the function was in Brighton, a bloody awful drive from the northside.
