Who can we stomach winning this thing in 2015?

My tip - Rorters. Their defence is still good, they do have a star studded backline, their forwards are in form.....and they continue to get a free ride on things like forward passes and shoulder charges from NRL refs. How Dylan Napa got away with a shoulder charge against the Scumdogs I'll never know. What, does the no shoulder charge rule only apply to non-Rorters players or something?

Preference - Cows. I think they deserve it this year. Though if they lose and there is any controversial calls you'd be able to hear the conspiracy cries from the moon (especially if they lose to the Rorters, the only Sydney team still in it).

No - Any of them really. Don't like the Donkeys, hate the Drizzle and Rorters. Cows are probably the best of a bad bunch.

Doesn't take long for Gould to churn out his own statistics.

"There is little to doubt that the three most successful clubs of the NRL era are the Roosters, Melbourne and Brisbane." From above dribble article.

Little doubt indeed? Assuming the NRL started in 1997. The rorters record is no better than Manly's with a few unconscionable (for Manly fans) wooden spoons. How can a team that collected a wooden spoon or two (correct me if i'm wrong) be anywhere near the top of anything?

1998 Donkeys
1999 Scum % (1)
2000 Donkeys
2001 Drugcastle
2002 Rorters (1)
2003 Penrith
2004 Wont write it!
2005 Wests Tigers
2006 Donkeys
2007 Scum *
2008 Manly (1)
2009 Scum *
2010 St Merge
2011 Manly (2)
2012 Scum
2013 Rorters # (2)
2014 Vermin

% Jamie Ainscough bull**** NRL expansion agenda reverse "try". Should read St Merge.
# Steggles Hayne factor + Forward pass. Should read Manly (3).

No doubt about the one city news limited teams (minus the salary cap scam) but of course not a single mention of Manly - its like it never happened.

Gould is just mad we have Barrett and a host of penrith players. He's usually a fan of Manly...and you notice he has to narrow his parameters to fit the clubs he's paid to write about.

Remember "sports" journalism is no journalism at all.

i posted this in the other thread a couple of days ago

Apologies Fluffy. I should have checked further before making the same thread. Was lazy at the airport with little time and on an iPad having just endured a "free" copy of the telecrap I found laying around.
