Always find the Leagues club a bit ordinary to watch a Manly away game - the o/h projector quality for the big screen is rubbish - any suggestions on where to watch Manly lift the shield? Dee Why R'ee? Balgowlah R'ee, pub in Manly?

Was just thinking the same thing, here in the Newcastle area.
Tho considering going to a Manly-fan mate's place.

Go Manly!

Any Gold Coast recommendations? I'm up there for work it looks, so keen to sneak a few away, without the watchful eye of my beloved Beer accountant.

Gold Coast pubs. ...Helm Bar on the river in surfers(the old titanium bar) is good. Beach hotel opposite casino on highway has a great big screen but take a flick knife and mouth guard.Liars bar in Broadbeach opposite Kurruwa LSC is ok.Most surf clubs ok but you are always tripping over kids.Great bar right on the water is underneath Burleigh Surf Club.We call it the crab pot....u can get in but can't seem to get out.Enjoy

@voicefromthehill

Don't know if you are on Facebook BUT there's a Gold Coast Supporters group, and I know they are organising a get together to watch the game.

Maybe ask to join and find out the details

Imagine going back to the glory days of Manly Leagues Club ! back to the 90’s or 80’s.

Having an open function in the large Auditorium upstairs all packed with supporters for the Manly v’s Cowboys (live on the big screen) and having special guests (old players) on the night. If it was organised well they may get over 1,000 people up there (also having two restaurants upstairs including a Chinese Restaurant!) ... I'm dreaming that was possible back in the good old days ….

The Manly Leagues Club it is really a shadow of its former glory days! I hope it survives for the long run …. it may be a struggle …

No wheel. First one I've missed up there in years.been overseas for a while and need to spend some time with my little daughter...but both she and I will be glued to the telly.it's been a bit better for us up there of late.used to be a graveyard. Really need the two points here.a win keeps us away from the only other two chances who can win it.have a beer for me mate.

We can either rest players and blood some depth for the following week or go all out an try and win a little cash before we get knocked out.

In saying that I love when Manly are under dogs(some of our best performances are when we are backs to the wall) and also enjoy seeing new players make their mark----getting a little bored watching the same players week in week out.

Similarly as @susan I'll be havin' a quiet viewing on Foxtel at home, hosting my younger brother.

Although...whilst I want to concentrate and focus on this opportunity (for the MP) I don't know how "quiet" it will remain all night; especially if we're true-to-form and have a few medicinal-ales, it could get rowdy!

Luckily I have great and "understanding" neighbours when it comes to me and Manly, lol.

Enjoy wherever you end up on the night folks!

If Manly can beat the Cows it almost certainly means Panfers will finish fourth. I'd be going all out this week and hoping we play them. It's our best chance to go deep in the finals otherwise facing either Rorters or Bunnies will be much tougher.

I'm going to be at a wedding and AFAIK there is no Foxtel there - NOT happy. The G/F better make up for it when we get home!!!

Careful wheel?there a plenty of watering holes up there where you can get nice and elephants trunk.Actually the Leagues club up there post game is always ok.
