Uate is an impact player, and to get one of those at a reasonable price would be a plus.
He has tremendous speed, strength and natural ability, and he has experience.
No reason at all he can't rekindle his love for the game at a new club.
He could develop a pretty potent right combination with Walker.

I hope there have been reassurances given to Brad Parker that he will be looked after as he was good for us on the wing and hope he won't be treated like Gutho.

Uate at the right price will be ok, no world beater but spending sensible money on a winger is a good move. Would hate the club to overspend on that position.

There is no point buying a heap of crap at a discount price!

Going off this yr we had no depth in the backline. We have a great spine and you need to have depth to cover injury to go deep into a season so there is some point in stacking players. Uate might not be everyone's cup of tea but he is a specialist winger and we are paying a fraction of his price so good business imo.

Who did uate play for last year? Where did they finish? They don't even want him! Oh and how many trys did Uate score last year?

What a lot of crap. You obviously haven't been watching his recent cup games. He was lucky to make their starting team. He was only playing because stupid Bennett paid him $450 000.
I wouldn't pay him any more than $100 000 to come here. Manly have defensive issues outwide as it is, now wait until Uate is on there. Bombs away to Uate and Taufua. The opposition will have a field day now

I can't believe this. We're signing blokes that Newcastle aren't selecting. We're signing almost 30 year old halves that the storm don't want to re-sign. People don't leave the storm and become better players. You can tell we've got a nsw selector in charge of our club.

The problem is that there isn't a lot of quality coming off contract at the end of this season, but there are at the end of 2017. Not helping the problem is that unless players are staying with their current clubs, most are reluctant to commit to longer than 1-2 years elsewhere because no one knows what the salary cap will be. No one wants to sign for fear of missing out on an extra $100 grand or so when the cap increases.

Personally I would rather Uate on the wing than Wiliame or Wright. Defensively they are all about the same and Uate is faster than those two, and outside Tom we are a club that lacks any genuine pace out wide.

Uate is currently the best option @ right wing...by far. Taufua & Uate as wingers, in attack, could be one of the best combos in the NRL. They'll average more metres than any other wing pairing. Defensively the whole team is ****...wingers not catching bombs doesn't bother me compared to that.
Our defence will fix with ease if Matai and the rest of the backs can stay on the field for most of the season. Our forwards this year were considered the best in the nrl as they let in the least points, most of the ones actually scored were probably from starlo and lazy Myles. Our undoing in defence this year was the backs who weren't regular starters other then Jorge Taufua, of course we are going to be **** in defence with williame, brown and wright playing in the backline for a majority of the year. Defence will not be a problem in 2017, attack shouldn't be either. We are building nicely... Better than nicely for next year!

Love Parker's skill set, a very intelligent player, fundamentally sound as well. But he's a kid, a tiny kid with no speed. Theyre buying Uate because they think Parker is not ready yet...& they're right.

Also Parker is another centre playing out of position in FG. He will be better for his first real preseason, and should put a few kg's on.

Uate will be outside Dillbrain Walker .... I hope he sees the ball !
Think we'll play him on Matai's side so he does get the ball, Trbojevic will be the one to link up with either walker or Taufua on the other side. Blake Green will also have a few short balls to Tapau which will be very effective.

Our back 3 is going to have no trouble getting out of our own end. Uate, Taufua and Tom possibly the best back 3 for gaining metres in the game if they all find form, we know Tom will and Uate has a point to prove and Taufua was amazing with a dodgy shoulder this year.
Is there a delusional emoticon thing?
