Toyota Cup Team of the Year as voted by the 16 Toyota Cup coaches. Maybe we are a little under represented in the run on side considering that we are top of the table with a +450 for and against, but maybe more to do with an evenly balanced, equally contributing team rather than a team with one or two standouts. Nonetheless, well done to the 4 Manly players who made the cut.

    Fullback: Malcolm Webster (South Sydney)
Wing: Joe Vickery (St George Illawarra)
    Wing: Drury Low (Canberra)
    Centre: Taioalo Vaivai (South Sydney)
    Centre: Siuatonga Likiliki (Warriors)
    Five-Eighth: Robert Lui (Wests Tigers)
Halfback: Beau Henry (St George Illawarra)
    Prop: Jesse Bromwich (Melbourne Storm)
Prop: Trent Merrin (St George Illawarra)
    Hooker: Travis Waddell (Canberra Raiders)
    Second Row: Jared Waerea-Hargreaves (Manly)
Second Row: Jake Marketo (St George Illawarra)
    Lock: Jamie Buhrer (Manly)
    Interchange: Kieran Foran (Manly)
    Interchange: Joel Romelo (Penrith)
    Interchange: Gareth Widdop (Melbourne Storm)
    Interchange: Daly Cherry-Evans (Manly)

Maybe we are a champion team rather than a team of champions.

We had very few rep players (that repped in 2008) in the NRL team last year and we all know how well they went.

I daresay we'd have the Toyota Cup coach of the year as well. If Foran had been fit all year and not moving up to first grade, he'd be 5/8 of the year too.
