Geoff Toovey to the Warriors? The word is Toovey was approached, via a third party, to gauge his interest in joining the Warriors staff. The Manly legend, currently working as an accountant, would love to be involved in rugby league again. However, it's unlikely he would entertain heading over the ditch if a position arose. Toovs has had a rough time of it since being shown the door at Manly – the former Kangaroos playmaker had his grand final ring stolen during a break-in and is yet to get it back.

I see no evidence of Tooves being a masochist.

I think Toovey is a motivator (and a damned good one). He'd absolutely kill it over there. I think they recognise that.

I also think it would mess with his TV role, and family, and from what I see and read, that's his priority.
