Well done Eagles 32-6! During the 15 minutes that I got to see at a mate's place on Foxtel, I was amazed at Georgie Rose's transformation. Last year he was carrying a few extra mac truck spare tyres around his mid-rift & he looks so much fitter this year. Well done Des & team
Lyon just adds that extra class to the backline - well worth the $'s!
Can't wait for the rest of the season
Good on Jason King - 1 Game for 1 Try :D

Well all in all an ugly win but a good win considering the conditions

    My booze induced observations

Willo very good with alot of defence including a couple of forced changeovers

King shows a lot more mongrel (kinda like a reverse Sampson)

Bk2 & Hicks hard to tell apart

Lyon to be 1st choice goal kicker

Orford fantastic kicking game and a very gutsy player (in Tooves mould)

Kite seems to be lifting knees again

We seem well balanced with Burns slotting in when Matai came off and Mona's would have been ok to slot in for the Ox if he had been asked to sooner than he was

Hall seemed to go ok and is sought of a cross betwwen a prop and 2nd rower so could come in handy

All in all not a bad 1st up effort

Under the conditions of the game it was a good win. Orford had an awesome game.

The game was messy and poor but a good gutsy win. My MOTM was Glen Stewart.

Not pretty but a win is a win.

WTF was going on with the lights on the hill though in the second half? I heard that the contract for the lights was stuffed up badly by warringah council and the person responsible was sacked.

Tonight I know why he was sacked.

Great win considering we played with 15 for the vast majority of the game.
