The Manly Sea Eagles have reportedly signed National Schoolboy Seven’s Rugby gun Tom Wright on a three-year deal.
The highly regarded youngster is captain of St Joseph’s first XV and is rumoured to be the long-term replacement for Kieran Foran at five-eighth.

Wright was also selected in the Australian Schools Barbarians team before he suffered a knee injury that kept him out.

From the club:
Manly Warringah Sea Eagles have today signed one of the hottest young schoolboy rugby players in Tom Wright.

The 18-year-old has signed a three-year deal with the Sea Eagles and will join the NRL pre-season squad in November.

“Tom is arguably the most exciting schoolboy rugby prospect in Australia,’’ said Sea Eagles CEO Joe Kelly.

“He can play several positions but predominately is a five-eighth.

“We are extremely pleased to have secured Tom’s services. He will no doubt excite Sea Eagles fans with his skills, speed and footwork.”
