If you heard him speak during that interview you would understand why he does these things.

If he wasnt playing league he'd be stacking shelves at Woolies.

Precisely!

Cowboys are turning over 18 of their 25 person first grade squad. No wonder they are partying.

As for Fonz and your comments, not everyone gets arrested after a night out. Not everyone has multi-million dollar contracts and have signed a code of conduct related to standards in a multi-million dollar game.

Obviously you missed my point. So here it goes!

It's not breaking news. Earthquakes, people who get stuck in mine shafts, and the suspect disappearance of 3yr old girls are breaking news!

A footballer being pissed in public is not breaking news. It's a beat up story designed to flog a dead horse.

Would he have even been arrested if he wasn't Jonathon Thurston? Debatable.
How many cops turned up to arrest 3 blokes again? Give me a effen break!

Neither was Brett Stewart getting kicked out of a venue for being drunk, but he got 4 weeks

JT DESERVES HIS FCUKING 4 WEEKS!!!
Mate are you seriously ignorant enough to believe the 4 weeks was for being drunk?
No im not stupid but Gallop at the time claimed it wasnt about the criminal charges but public drunkeness and the fact that Brett Stewart is such a high profile player

Is there any more a high profile player than JT?
Shane is correct.  The 4 weeks was for leaving the function intoxicated (something that is now being contested in court).  Gallop essentially said any other player would get 2 weeks but Stewart had double demerit points.

Arguably double demerit points would also apply for the game's so-called best player taking the limelight away from the finals series at a highly sensitive time with Stewart in court.  He's certainly done Stewart no favours.

The word was ignorant not stupid but if you really believe it was for drunkeness then maybe you are the latter.

Plus Mata, if he was so disgustingly drunk after leaving the launch, then why was he allowed to enter other licenced premises?

The 4 weeks was not for being drunk. You guys are joking! In any case the NRL didn't do him any favours by suspending him.
