'Super Six' Lead The Charge
THIS weekend’s round marks the halfway point of the Queensland Cup season. There have been many fine individual and team performances since the first ball was kicked in March. www.qrl.com.au takes a look at some of the standout performers.
TRENT HODKINSON – Sunshine Coast Sea Eagles
The understudy to Manly Sea Eagles halfback Matt Orford has been one of the shining lights for the Sunshine Coast this year. His great form in the Queensland Cup has him knocking on the door of NRL selection. An intelligent organiser and excellent kicker, Hodkinson is highly regarded by many good judges, including recruitment guru Noel Cleal who handpicked the Cabramatta junior to be Orford’s understudy. Hodkinson inspired the Sea Eagles’ comeback against Burleigh last weekend with a stunning display. After 10 rounds, Hodkinson has scored 62 points from six tries and 19 goals.
It sounds like the QRL rates him well
