They were saying this morning that there talking 50km/h winds on Sunday. so expect a high kicking game. (I think that was always our plan judging by the media reports). just hope the winds cause too much havoc.

There talking hail for the AFL :-/

Bahahaha, mother nature FTTs again.

Not liking the sound of those 50km winds on Sunday though. Hopefully being out west at Homebush will help a little.

Lets hope they are as wrong about rain tomorrow as they are about hail at the AFL. Hardly any rain during the game at all in fact first half fairly sunny.

Well at brookie its been clear all day but clouds building up on horizon. Totally different to what the bureau predicted and the weather pattern with low press system has been slow in coming across and weaker than expected.

Bureau forecast for sunday now reads:

Sunday 2 October

Summary
Min 12
Max 17
A few showers. Windy.
Chance of any rain: 90%
Rainfall amount: 9 to 20 mm

Sydney area

Cloudy. Scattered showers, becoming less likely later in the evening. Winds southerly averaging up to 50 km/h decreasing below 35 km/h later in the evening.

Which means who bloody knows what is going to happen :D
SE moderate winds and a chance of rain - ie very much like the 2008 GF weather - as we have mentioned before the SE wind will probably be strong enough for problems and swirling around in ANZ and present problems to the wingers and fullbacks

Sat night 10.30pm edit: the rain that has been predicted all day by the bureau has just started at brookvale, light moderate showers so far with thunder rumbling around

Up to date stuff on the Terrey Hills radar:

Sunday game day and here at Brookvale at 11am the weather looks to be slowly beginning to clear up from the SE.

For all of you not in Sydney, we've had some heavy rain this morning
which judging by the BOM Terrey Hills radar (see above post) has been making it over to Homebush, however the really heavy rain seems to have been hitting further up the coast at Wyong/Newcastle way.

ANZ stadium would now be pretty heavy underfoot but if it doesn't cop too much further rain should drain well and be a good surface for footie this afternoon.

Gonna be slippery handling though (extra super glue needed on Choc's hands) and still a good chance of some drizzle around for the game. But lets hope not....

Wind has been fresh/strong SE all morning at 20-30 knots and if it continues this strongly will give difficult conditions for bombs.
