I've heard reports from the media that Stewy may write a book about his ordeal to recover the $200 k spent on the case.

As much as I like Brett, I couldn't really see anyone buying a book detailing 2 miserable years of his life courtesy of this spurious allegation and some horrendous injuries. Can't say it'd be much of a read, what is he going to talk about ?

To be honest, I'd advise against a book.  Do as many interviews as you like in all the Womens magazines you want but a book just wouldn't be right, unless its about his whole life of course and this past incident being just a chapter but a whole book over the ordeal.  Well I wouldn't read it.

I'd buy it as its a Manly player although sounds like he will make enough out of the mag deals to cover his losses, but he deserves all the money he gets as we know.

There is a deal being negotiated as we speak which will involve his story being told in a well known womens magazine plus an interview with a TV station.

His legal costs were a lot more than $200k by the way and they hope that this media deal with cover this.

No doubt he will write a book eventually.

Yeah i believe a book could be on the cards. If it's an autobiography from beginning to current which also includes the trial etc, i think it would sell well.

Others have written autobiographies before they have retired as well.

I think Brett would have a great story to tell about his entire life, overcoming the challenges of diabetes etc and then his rapid rise to the top of the game, followed by the recent dark days, and then how he pulled through and out the other side... But I think there are a few chapters yet to write and hence if I was in his shoes I may hold off on the book for at least a few years... Could be inspirational when he does tho...

Agreed Jaime, would be good to hold off writing it until Brett achieves more of what he deserves: couple more grand final wins, more Australian rep jumpers and State Of Origin wins etc etc.

Yes what a great interesting story it will be later - a tale of great achievement and surmounting tough challenges.

Gawd if DSM ghost writes it they'll be hearing from Matt Orford's lawyers....
