    Full-back
Manly's Brett Stewart is out of City-Country with a calf injury and, according to Country doctor Hugh Hazard, he is not guaranteed to be fit for Origin I. "Calves can be a real pain," Hazard said in Wollongong. "They can keep you out for two weeks or six weeks. They will certainly want to get some fitness work out of him before (Origin)."

City Origin full-back Brett Hodgson is next in line, with Melbourne's Steve Turner a possible bolter.

Luke Patten should get the gig in front of Turner, but being from Melbourne Turner may get the nod.

That and Patten is injured but dunno how bad it is.

Hayne will be lucky to make the NSW side.

Cuthbo will play fullback for us :)

hopefully it is an "injury" so he doesn't have to play a meaningless game

I'm quietly confident that he will be back playing against the broncos

I think Hasler didnt want to risk some star players getting injured.
