Am reading we now have 2 Broncos players in strife

Possibly 1 for kicking a car and another for having a pee in public

As I said in another thread, I hope neither of these guys is a 'face of league.'  Otherwise David Gallop (Mr Consistent) will give them 4 weeks, won't he?

I thought this was going to be a thread about why David Williams should play fullback...been reading the MWSE boards too much.

Here's my prediction; Broncos keep it under wraps, NRL don't make a big deal of it & if anything happens it'll be the offending players being stood down to reserve grade for a week.

Broncos duo to face internal discipline after police caution

April 27, 2009

Two Brisbane Broncos players face disciplinary action after they were cautioned by police about their behaviour in Byron Bay in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The Broncos would not name the players but confirmed police had been involved.

One player is alleged to have kicked a car and the other is alleged to have urinated on a wall.

In a club statement, Broncos chief executive Bruno Cullen said while the players complied with police directions and were neither detained nor charged for any actions, the matter wouldn’t end there.

"We were advised very early this morning that there may have been occasion for police to talk to two of our players over the weekend," Cullen said.

"I immediately began enquiries, and that involved speaking to the two players involved and the superintendant in charge of policing that district.

"He confirmed two players were spoken to on Saturday night and that they were co-operative, apologetic and remorseful.

"However we are extremely disappointed that the players put themselves in that situation. We are constantly reminding the players about acceptable levels of behaviour and the dangers of socialising, especially in unfamiliar territory.

"Therefore we will be dealing with the matter internally by disciplining the players involved.

"Once again, we are reminding players and representatives of the club not to put themselves in these types of situations."

Brisbane NRL stars Steve Michaels and Nick Kenny are facing disciplinary action from the club following an incident on the New South Wales' far north coast in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Broncos officials have spoken to the pair following the Byron Bay incident, after it emerged they were warned by police about their behaviour and told to move on.

Both players complied with the police warning and were not detained or charged, but the club is determined to pursue the incident.

Michaels is alleged to have kicked a car, while Kenny is alleged to have urinated on a wall.

“We were advised very early this morning that there may have been occasion for police to talk to two of our players over the weekend,” said Broncos chief executive Bruno Cullen.

I thought this was going to be a thread asking for Blake Davey to get a call-up into first grade. I was about to give you a serve Kiwi. They're too young!

I follow the Toyota Cup too closely.

As for the Broncos boys, I really couldn't care if Nick Kenny had a piss against a wall. Does anybody? The guy is actually an outstanding person who does a tremendous amount of charity work and is as much of a cleanskin as there is in the NRL.

I know the NRL has painted themselves into a corner here, but f*ck me dead.... Neither of these is worthy of a suspension in my view, but because Gallop jumped the gun with Brett (and then with Seymour...and the rest....) he looks like a goose if he doesn't dish out similar punishment. I mean really. How much does he regret handing out a four week suspension to Brett, especially for the terribly flimsy reasons that he gave for the punishment....

LOL I don't see enough of the TC boys to form an opinion mate

FFS, Michaels you prick, I need you for my fantasy side

Pissing on a wall, who cares ? I could have multiple charges for that FFS. Month or so back we went on a bustrip and after the final stop 20 of us were lined up against the wall letting it flow
