Just though I should let you all know the site will go down for a few minutes later tonight.

I need to recompile a few things to ensure we have everything running correctly as the DNS server issue has highlighted another problem.

We have drastically changed how we currently use DNS for Silvertails and this should improve things and keep things more stable.

I know this is technical jargon but there is some new ground for me here

Those crazy dns servers can really get you in a bind,

I hope it'll all resolve well for you.

the other thing we need to do is recompile PHP, add a few things like memcache and suPHP

check your settings under your profile both on the main site and the forums. In your forum profile http://www.silvertails.net/forums/index.php?action=profile;u=2283 go to the "Look and Layout Preferences" and change the offset there

I made the adjustment on the server side just then so you won't need to, but it will now show different for others. Just make sure your offset is 0
