Sika Manu personifies everything that I hate about the filthy purple scum. This is the bloke who drives his knee into opponents calf & thigh muscles. He is a master wrestler and spcialises in chicken wing tackles.

We don't need that in our club.

Count me as a big NO to Manu.

I say yes. No nonsense intimidator. With Trex gone we don't have any intimidators. The pack lacks punch.

I'm caught between the 2 opinions.
Definately need an enforcer in the pack imo, but with his dirty Storm credentials there may be better options at a much better price.
Tooves probably has a few good ideas on who to bring in but very suprised if he doesnt look for an intimidating monster of some kind now the T Rex is almost extinct.

Why don't we take a leaf from the kennels book and change the name of this thread to the "Possible Signing Of Sika Manu Superthread" ?

I agree Ralphie, he is the definition of Scum and doesnt deserve the honour of wearing a Sea Eagles jersey.

Copying my Sika Manu post from another thread.

I'm not sure about Sika Manu to be honest. He made his debut in 2007 and only averages about 10 games per season. Can't seem to string more than 2 games in a row before getting injured. If we do have a little bit of money left, and I'm not sure it as much as we hope because of T-Rex leaving, I wouldn't be against some longer term planning with more signings in the mould of Michael Chee-Kam as opposed to trying to land a big name.

I'm with you Stevo. Its bad when the player most likely to come up with a big hit when its needed most is your 5/8th.

Like Toovs used to?

MK i trust in Tooves. I reckon they know what they're doing.

Also, people keep saying they don't like his dirty tactics. Wouldn't he be coached to do that?

Or change the thread to Sika Manu rumour as we haven't had any other rumours for 24 hours.

I would go for a handful of the best 18/19 year old forwards from rival clubs instead of Sika Manu, even though I wouldn't complain if we got him.

He does have some cheap tactics in his game, but isn't the point of the coach to train players to play to their own gameplay? I reckon he'd be a good replacement, as long as he's not too expensive.

I don't like this bloke at all but then again I didn't like Josh Perry until he played for manly. I think mason would be a good buy before the knights resign him.

yeah Matt Parish can use his connections and get an international Pommie forward over here.

The player would have to take a 50% pay cut on what he is on over there. but the challenge of a contract in the NRL would be enticing enough.

I'd pay 250k for Sika

I have no problem with him, grubby tactics are a coached thing
