According to Friday's smelly souths assistant coaches have been told to move on
and they have earmarked Seibold for next year.

Sounds like Maguire clutching at straws. Might save him for one season.

Imagine what the Walker brothers could do with a team like Souths. I wonder where the Knights might be on the ladder this year, had they had some imaginative coaching also.

Anthony is really struggling at Manly. He came from a club where the coach has the final say and is given full control of the team to here. If Trent has passed Bozo's test this year, and Bozo hands him the reigns completely next year, with no interference, the team as a whole will perform extremely well. There are too many chiefs this year.

Is Bozo capable of handing anyone the reins?

Well, this is it, mate. If he wants to keep the club heading in the right direction, I think he has to. He has done a good job by gathering up this team and although I think Toovey would have been a better choice, Trent would have learnt a lot this year.

It's time to move into the new role for Bozo, and like Gould at the Panthers, let the coaches do their job. Show them some faith and only get involved if really needed. Some people have forgotten that Anthony brings with him a ton of experience. There were a lot of people excited to see him coming here last year, and rightly so.

    A couple of side notes;

    1. I spell reins, reigns when writing about Bozo. It seems fitting.
    2. How boring would this site be if not for cognitive dissonance? lol

I wasn't sure if I should reply to this. In hindsight......

Actually! No, it doesn't matter. Or does it?

Not sure if @mozgrame is pulling a Schrodinger-esque post or not...

On a lighter note, any Squeels' trolls perusing this thread just suffered a head explosion..

However back to the topic. Maguire is dead right, his assistant coaches are solely responsible for souths' poor season. :0)

I spent 3.8 parsecs trying to come up with a clever reply... I'm not sure if I exist or not now!!

It's funny how at $ouffs their current poor season is blamed on the sub-coaches, and Madge is above any finger pointing (a bit like the Dalai really). I firmly believe he'd be sh*tting himself if the Penn's were his boss lol ;)

3.8 is the average of most Parra sex encounters. Be that measured in time, distance or participants. lol

Madge would be jelly beneath his rock hard façade, surely. He'll get the tap soon. Maybe we could swap him for Seibs?

I think it was @Reading the Play on Twitter that said the Bunnies were a very very unhappy camp, and the coach is right at the centre of it.

I've been disappointed with Seibold (he's the defence coach after all) so I don't see it as a big loss that he goes, and after all he is after a shot at one of the 16 teams anyway as Numero Uno.

To be honest wouldn't be surprised to see him pop up as Walters assistant at the Donkeys when they finally realise Bennett ain't the Messiah any longer.

Our defense IS improving, but still lapses occasionally. I believe this is less of a "coached" thing but more of a "consecutive same team" thing: it's hard to build structures when the guy next to you is different every week. I'd like to see what our defense is like with a stable run on team for 6-8 weeks!

Bennett will stay, and with the Broncos' blessing, until they win another premiership. Guaranteed.

I'm on the fence with this one...

Was seibold only signed for 1 year or are we releasing him early?

There were rumours he and Baz were not seeing eye to eye...does anyone know why?

He seems to be held in high regard (Queensland origin assistant) and our defence has been pretty poor up until the back half of this season (just finding our feet)...if he goes at the end of season are we taking another step back?!

Haha! You can't Force these things! @bones will chime in when the elements dictate a tremor is imminent.

    That's enough for today.
