Recently plenty have called Farah soft & from what I have seen its close to the mark. Imo his impact from dummy half has deteriated with slower play the balls in recent seasons & his style is not SOO.
Ennis the grub, pest , provoker & sledger is the better option of whats available to NSW.
If Ballin was a Blue I rate him clearly above both these guys with quality service at the advantage line, great kick chase & defensively the best 9 in the NRL with toughness to boot.
Sadly for Nsw Cam Smith is at the top with daylight 2nd imo & MB 3rd.
Have shared an opinion on here before that we may see by 2013 with Buhrer at dummy half. Really think, even though its a specialist position this Kid would exploit any loose ruck defence & only need some game time to work on distribution from this key area. Put it this way, I'd take him over this Hinchcliffe ppl are talking up at hooker today for club OR State.
Anyways back to the rant I feel if NSW are to beat Qld, it will need to be gritty not pretty so No Farah for mine. Thoughts??

He dives more than any player in the league and that is enough for me to say he should be rubbed out of the game

Did anyone see Steve Roach and Benny Elias debating this on the Game Plan last night.

It went on for a while but the thrust of it was that Benny claimed Farah was "tough" and Blocker said he was not SOO material.

It's sad for us south of the border folk that Ballin doesn't hail from NSW. He would have about 10 caps by now.

Softness is relative cause Robbie does play 1st grade NRL but yeah i would agree Robbie is not as tough as the likes of Smith, Ennis, Ballin etc. He rarely put a hit on in defence & these days doesn't appear to like getting caught with the ball.

Monika is better suited to Soccer IMO :dodgy:

One of the Presenters on Sportsline said that the Representative Players try and avoid rooming with him :-/

Must be stupider in person than he even appears on the field :p

Mate I reckon your sales figures would exponentially increase if you started less threads and did more open for inspections ;)

Haha yeh probably mate, but shows my comittment to Silvertails....& the fact its a slow market. :p
So whats your take on this Farah saga??

Farah In for mine.

The worst of a bad bunch.

Miles behind Smith, and Ballin is a class above him too, the toughness that Ballin has is one thing Farah will never have.

Farah for me. He's a poonce, but he's the best option available. Ennis brings nothing to the table apart from gifting penalties and field position.

I'd go Hinchcliffe for 1 simple reason. He isn't Farrah or Ennis. He's somewhere right in the middle of cat (Farrah) and grub (Ennis). I think he'd be solid without being a match winner.

I'd go Buderis if fit, but agree with Roachs opinion Farah is not origin material. So would have to lean towards Ennis - let's face it if his coach won't give him a rep gig it speaks volumes[

Ennis isn't even in the same ballpark as Farah skills wise. I don't consider anyone that runs onto an NRL field over 150-200 times soft so won't be using that on Farah, I hate his diving though

The thing that cracks me up in that Ennis is called tough, simply because he runs his mouth all game. That isn't toughness for me, and he went backwards in defence plenty of time last week

hinchcliffe for me.

I am going to reserve my judgement of Farrah yet. He has played his whole career in a soft forward pack, and with a crap halfback. He actually went alright in city country without the tigers team around him

I reckon he would kick on at another club, as would his rep duty. The tigers are a woeful outfit with no mental toughness at all

One from left feild, Mitch McCrone the Canberra 1/2 or Shaun Johnson 1 is he NSW? all the great halves have played hooker, Joey Jones, Tooves etc. Then have a Buherer type player on the bench.

I can't believe a NSW hooker doesn't see this rabble and think 'I am going to train the house down and I will prob get a jersey'

the stocks here sucks. Time for some uber hella scouting.

I would rather Farah any day of the week over Ennis, who has very little skill.
No doubt Farah has more skill, but that does not make him a better candidate for SOO.
Truth be known, Farah has more skill than MB also but I would choose Ballin over him every day.
Scary part about Cam Smith love or hate him is - he wipes them all in skill ,toughness, vision , kicking & is only matched by MB defensively.
To beat Qld if possable, will have to be done with brutal force & getting under their skin in the ruck - my simple reason for the Ennis call - I dont rate him as any superstar - just a choice of the best of the worst to get the job done....:)

I'd go for Greg Bird at hooker. He's tough and as long as he can pass a ball quick enough he would be bettter than the other candidates. He had spiders on him when we played the Titans we couldn't tackle him.

No, I can see the utility value in Bird but a good distributor determines if a team gets over the ad line, not necesarily how hard they run. Thats why smith is so good, he throws 70% over the ad line before the players even catch it and never gets pinged
