There is a good chance you may get the opportunity to sight the elusive mozgrame tomorrow. The CQ Capras are hosting Easts Tigers and the game is being televised on 9. I'll try to sneak a Manly hat into the Coaches box lol . (No, I probably won't)

For those that haven't seen the Capras play, keep an eye on Peter Gallen (10) and Smith Samau (4). I also have some massive news that hasn't broken yet about a deal between the Capras and a NSW based NRL team that will surprise a few of you. Watch this space!! There are more than 5 NSW NRL sides that are looking to affiliate with CQ. See if you can guess which very high profile team (top 8) is looking to do a deal the most. I can't just tell you now. Meetings are set down for next week, and as soon as I can, I'll let you all know.

Well......it's not Manly, though I have been pushing hard to make something happen there, so that leaves 7. I'm not on the payroll with the Capras mate, so I can't let the cat out of the bag just yet. Meetings are set down for next week, so it's not set in stone.

If anyone holds any sway with the Manly club, tell them to Contact Jason Hetherington directly. It's a big area CQ and it produces a lot of talent. It couldn't hurt to do a deal. The Bronco's are on the nose here I can tell you! One lucky Sydney club is going to benefit greatly by expanding their talent base.

GK is kinda a dump!

About 3 shacks on it plus that big hotel that's just slowly being 'reclaimed by nature' as nothing can be done with it until there's agreements between the indigenous and the developers.

That said, plenty of lovely islands up there.

OK. Well, we ( The Capra's) got owned again last week by Easts. 34 - 4 and picked up some big injuries. Not to worry. I did say there was a team from Sydney that are very interested in connecting with the region however, and because the weekend is soooo boring, I've decided to release the cat from the bag.

No, not the Rabbids. The answer is...........The Panthers!!

Since Gould took over in 2011, the Panthers have been building nicely. At the moment they lead the NRL and reserve grade comps. Now Gould is looking to expand his empire into CQ. He has a connection to Hetherington through the old Bulldog days and believes the philosophy of Bullfrog. Take a naturally tough player from the bush and teach them the finer points footy in the city.

He also thinks you need to expand your boundaries outside your own backyard to ensure future success. Meetings will now be held after SOO.

CQ is a big area from Mackay to Bundaberg and west to the border. Plenty of talent in this footy mad area, and despite popular belief, the Bronco's DO NOT have it all wrapped up. DCE is a good example of that.

Exciting times for the young blokes of CQ, but I still wish Manly could have done a deal.

Good luck to them! I am surprised, though, as I thought they had a big junior base out Penrith way. Not only that, I would think they're perfectly positioned to draw on the whole of western NSW, let alone tap into CQ.

Anyway, as I said, good on them and yes @mozgrame its a pity its not us.

They seem to be becoming a force to be reckoned with. Their under 20's just cleaned up. I expect them to make very short work of the cutters in NSW cup, and their NRL side will more than likely get another win.

A sprinkling of CQ boys won't hurt them in the future if it all goes to plan. I wish Manly would get in under them here in CQ. Hetherington has put the feelers out and so far, Gus is the most interested. He has the most vision and he's proving it at the Panthers.
