Public Transport - Northern Beaches bus services for NRL semi-final?

OK as we are the home Semi team for Saturday’s NRL Semi (against the Sharks) are the NRL confirming transport options for the Northern Beaches (Sydney/STA buses) as they did last year and in previous years?

See article below.

One of the major problems with Allianz/Moore Park is a good direct (fast) public transport option from the Northern Beaches as parking is a complete nightmare. You pay to park in a car park and then get stuck in that car park for an hour after the game!!

From last year .....

Northern Beaches bus services for NRL semi-final
September 11, 2012

Free special bus services will operate from Sydney’s Northern Beaches to Allianz Stadium for the NRL semi-final between Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles and North Queensland Cowboys on Friday evening.

Allianz Stadium gates open at 4.00pm with the main game kicking-off 7.45pm.

Buses will begin departing Warriewood from 3.55pm at regular intervals until 6.10pm.

In addition, there will be some trips commencing from Dee Why, with the last service departing Dee Why at 6.40pm.

Free return buses to the Northern Beaches will commence operating from the Moore Park interchange from 9.30pm with the last service departing at 11.00pm.

Special event return buses to and from Allianz Stadium will also operate from Central and Circular Quay. Bus tickets cost $6.10 for adults, $3 for concessions and $15.20 for a family.

The winner of the Sea Eagles-Cowboys semi-final will tackle the Melbourne Storm in Melbourne on Friday, September 21, for a place in the Telstra Premiership Grand Final on September 30.

The Semi Final is NOT listed as an event on Friday

So we will need to pay for a Supporters Bus again :(

The NRL is a joke. Not only will nothing be done to get fans to the game from Manly/Warringah and Cronulla/Sutherland areas, but being Sydney's only game for the weekend, the NRL should be getting free/additional public transport arranged right across all of Sydney & encouraging all RL fans no matter who they support to come to the game.

Swans and AFL did it on Saturday night.

They sometimes take a day or two to work out on demand or public opinion !! So emailing/calling and tweeting to the NRL will help …!!!

They ran these buses in 2011 for the game against Brisbane (Manly v’s Brisbane at Allianz/SFS).

Also the same in 2012 for the game against Nth Qld ((Manly v’s Nth Qld at Allianz/SFS).

So they surely must do the same in 2013???

Just making final confirmation on the buses now.

All things going to plan FREE buses will run from the Leagues Club to Moore Park commencing 4pm on FRiday.

Hopefully they will be running a return leg as well back to the club for post match celebration!
