Manly To Win!

I am just reading the RLW yearbook, and they have lists of re-signed players for each club. For Manly they have Watmough (2014), Lyon (2013), Matai (2013), K. Foran (2013), Oldfield (2012), Palau (2012), SeuSeu (2011), Cunningham (2012), DCE (2013). All smart moves there. I think we're in a good position. I think Foran, Harrison and Robinson could all be good signings, and I hope that each player mentioned gets plenty of FG next season.

I'm probably being greedy but I still think we may lack a bit of grunt up front since Perry's departure.
Once the ownership issue is all sorted (thanks for everything Max) perhaps we can start to venture a little further into the world of third party sponsorship...it seems to be the way of the future.

It would be nice to finally see Palau get a go this year.  If we have re-signed him until 2012 then Des must see something in him.

By 20102 he will be getting on a bit, past his prime. :)

Junior Palau will be a better retention for us than Lami Tasi. Lami will disappear into the Rorters minor grades for good.

I very much doubt that but hey, I like your thinking.

Our youth group of forwards are very under-rated imo.

1. Jamie Buhrer - there is a LOT of G Stewart in him
2. James Cunningham - one of the best junior props going (Aust.)
3. Tony Williams - will actually be mobile and fast - for a forward
4. George Rose - Hopefully ALA Indigenous game - can be damaging
5. Tim Robinson - Also played in great Australian rep teams
6. Daniel Harrison - Bulldogs are FILTHY he's gone. Also a rep player
7. Junior Palau - Massive unit, but very mobile. Standout in QLD Cup
8. Darcy Lussick - Rep player, and VERY good imo. Hope he gets a gig

On top of:-

1. Jason King - Now a NSW rep player, and potential Aust prop now
2. Brent Kite - Previous NSW and Australian rep prop
3. Anthony Watmough - CURRENT NSW and Aust Backrower
4. Shane Rodney - Prior City / Country rep player - a gun
5. Glenn Stewart - Australian rep all round player
6. Joe Galuvao - Former NZ INternational player and very solid

Then even some fringe depth players at a worst case:-

1. Matt Cross - former Premiership winner and decent at times
2. Vic Mauro - has had a sprinkly of first grade, but could fill in
3. Liam Higgins - could make a fantastic utility player of the future
4. Terrence Seu Seu - has plenty of potential still

And money other Sunshine Coast and NYC players. I think we look great.
