Go Blues!

The radio had morris and Fafita missing out so looks like the side will be:
Moylen
Ferguson
Jennings
Dugan
Mansour
Maloney
Reynolds
Woods
Farrah
Gallen
Cordiner
Jackson
Bird

Walker
Tamou
Klemmer
Frizel

Yep

The last 2 years Morris has kept inglis very quiet

Fafita is going really well, better than woods and Gallen.

Too many backrowers with Gallen, Bird, Frizell, Cordiner and Jackson

Gallen will play prop and Frizell will probably drop out of the squad.

I'd drop Jackson. Solid player, but nothing special in origin.

I would like to see
Moylan
Mansour
Dugan
Morris
Ferguson
Maloney
Reynolds
Woods
Farah
Tamou
Cordner
Bird
Gallen

Walker
Frizell
Fifita
Klemmer

I'm hearing Fifita has been released to his club, and was just there as cover for Tamou.

I would definitely like to see Fifita there, he is just an absolute x-factor, he might lose us the game, but he could win it. After 9 out of 10 losses, I'm all for taking risks.

Morris has been amazing in shutting down Inglis, I've never really thought that Morris is a great centre week in and week out. But when it comes to Origin the job he has done on Inglis has stepped him up in my estimation.

Like Moylan, he offers points.

On another note is Greg Bird seriously the best lock we can come up with?

No, but he is the best 5/8, lock, second-rower we have ( although Wade Graham would be pretty close ) and has never let us down.
He's a tough nut and plays angry - just what we need.

Fifita is a overrated slob. He had a good game against manly because our line speed was **** and he was running dylan walker and the little blokes all day. He choked in SOO 1 last year and so was dropped. Against teams with good line speed, he will get ****ed

I would prefer Wade Graham, but I suppose Bird has done enough to be the first choice.

Doesn't matter who they pick, QLD to win the series 2-1.

They'll win in Sydney & Brisbane and slacken off in the last game.

Pleased I'm hiding away in my new house at present away from my QLD mates.

I think it will be much like most games in recent years , fairly close but the class of JT, and a few others will be the difference.

Don't think we will see a flogging like game 3 last year but anything is possible.

Eight players, including Manly halfback Daly Cherry-Evans, have been called into the Queensland Maroons camp ahead of Holden State of Origin Game One at ANZ Stadium in Sydney on Wednesday.

Cherry-Evans, Jacob Lillyman (18th man), Chris McQueen, Brenton Lawrence, Nene Macdonald, Felise Kaufusi and former Maroon Scott Prince will all link up with the Maroons at Sanctuary Cove on the Gold Coast, with new coach Kevin Walters set to put his squad through some opposed sessions.

Former Queensland star Justin Hodges will also join Camp Maroon this weekend as Queensland steps up preparations for Game One in Sydney.

Hodges retired from the representative arena after the Maroons' series victory over the Blues last year, but Walters believes the former Bronco still has plenty to offer.

The veteran of 24 Origin matches will join a number of other Maroons hopefuls and young talent from Intrust Super Cup club the Sunshine Coast Falcons for a run against the current squad on Sunday.

Hodges is also fulfilling a key role this weekend as a mentor with Queensland's under-16 team, which plays the young Blues in the Origin curtain-raiser.

Sea Eagles duo Cherry-Evans and Lawrence are expected to take part in today's training sessions only, before heading back to Sydney on the weekend.

Cherry-Evans played in Game Two of last year's Origin series, replacing regular Queensland halfback Cooper Cronk in a 26-18 loss to NSW at the MCG. Cronk returned for the series-decider three weeks later as the Marrons thrashed the Blues 52-6 at Suncorp Stadium.

The opposed session will be Queensland's last training run at Sanctuary Cove before the team departs for Sydney on Monday
