The next big home game at Brookie v’s Tigers (Round 18: Friday 11th July) >> hopefully we can see another good crowd at Brookie (for Friday’s week game), which will make up on the lost numbers with the earlier rain affected home rounds.

The Tigers (in the past) has always been a well drawing crowd at Brookie (away support), as many old Tiger fans live in places like the Northern Beaches or not that far from the area.

Someone mention to me, while the Manly/Roosters crowd was good, the away supporters really was a 90% Manly /10% Roosters crowd mix (even if you put that down to the Roosters!). Once we get a good 75%/25% crowd to the Bookie with the away supporters or even a 70%/30% mix, then cracking a 21,000+ crowd will be very feasible. Closing the gates is at 22K/23K (if that is the cut-off these days?).

We really need more reserve seating (covered >> new stand - back of the Eastern Hill) which is the problem at Brookie and what Manly is looking for in the upgrade facilities!

Rounds 17 - 26 We play
Canines away
Tigpies home
Dragons away
Warriors away
Broncos home
Wabbits away
Titans away
Eels away (Monday)
Panthers home
Cowboys away
So, what a draw. Alot of tough matches, many away.
Can't believe there are only 3 more matches at Brooky this year. Doesn't seem right. The first 4 were pouring with rain. !!

There was nothing like 10% Easts' support last Friday night. I was on the Hill, and reckon there for just a few hundred.
Balmain-Wests do attract more travelling support, so we should nudge 19,000 if the night is fine. Given that Brokkie has 'shrunk' since the halcycon days of 27,000-crowds in the 70s and 80s, a 19,000-crowd will mean standing room only on the Hill.

We got 20,500 against the Rabbitohs at Brookie last year. Hopefully we can get an official crowd of 22,000 still one day in the old girl being Brookie (Brookvale Oval), though that could be a bit squashy!!!

Yeap out of the next 10 games remaining this season, we have “7 Away” and only “3 at Home”. A big disadvantage, so the more points we have in the bank now the better !
