SEA Eagles chairman Scott Penn has indicated the club may have to rely on its stakeholders to pick up the financial burden of life without a major sponsor this year.

Why do we even go to print with this sort of talk. Nothing good to write about, say nothing.

No wonder Max got out. Rudderless ship in the front office

We'll be right. Word on the street is that Lowe will be finishing up this year and they'll be looking for someone new. Might be time for the henna-headed Hellenic boy to toddle off too...to be replaced by someone like Leanne West.

Since no one took the bait on my nasty putdown of Peter Peters (he is a lovely guy and I actually have a lot of time for him) - I'll follow up with this (and without telling anyone to suck eggs) and assuming we start the season without a major sponsor - just four to six opening rounds of good football with B. Stewart and Wolfman hitting their straps should be enough for the offers to start rolling in.

Be careful putting pictures like that on this site. A few posters will think that this is now a porn site.

Done. I hope that Cambo didn't see it before we deleted it. We could be up for the cost of a new pair of pants for him. ;D

The jpeg was good and I think you should repost it. Just goes to show that not too many take themselves too seriously around here. :)

Nobody can complain. I told everyone WAY before the bloke was hired. No-one can say they weren't warned.

People now can't see that this is the 1st time we have been unable to attain a major sponsor.

The question is, why?

What is different in this tenure to others?

+ We have a good product;
+ We have $10 mill committed to Brookvale;
+ We have a god coaching staff;
+ We have history.

I personally hope the people that appointed him from the apparent 90 odd plus applicants are satisfied with themselves. They have personally cost the stakeholders with their mishandling of the appointment (and I don't know who they are, so there is no allegiances in what I'm saying).

Again, I spelled this out very plainly prior to his selection.

I thought you'd cut him some slack, after all he presided over the exit of your mate Max in a nice painless severance.

Max's wallet was the contributing factor. Barney Gumble could have been the CEO, and Max still would have departed.

Lowe and Penn's inability to sign a major sponsor will directly impact Manly's ability to win premierships in the next few seasons!
