FORGET Central Coast, Brisbane and outback Queensland - the next franchise to enter the NRL competition should be based in Papua New Guinea.

It would probably be safer going to watch the Sea Eagles play in Port Moresby rather than risking a trip to Blacktown on the Coast (Gosford).

It's okay Cam - I work out that way and have discovered there is a world beyond the peninsula, as hard as it is to believe.

[/quote] And the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.

Would PNG bring any more money in TV rights? I thought not. See you later. Maybe the NRL should consider doing what Super Rugby is too scared to do - give a franchise to the Island communities and share the games between PNG/Samoa/Fiji/Tonga. Stadiums would be the problem.

Another issue would be that Souths, Warriors and Penrith would lose 75% of their players
