Manly prop Brent Kite has launched a scathing attack on the NRL after Israel Folau became the latest player to leave the code, having agreed to a big-money move to the AFL's new greater Western Sydney franchise.

All the NRL has to do is show a commercial about how good league is and the way to do that is play a clip of young Izzy crying his face off when slapped with a 40 - 0 scoreline.

Oh, and chucking a tanty when a try is scored against him (i've always regretted not seeing that footage on tv/dvd, i only heard about it when listening to the 2GB commentary).

still waiting for a player to come up with anything constructive.

the reality is the income into the NRL is what it is and until the next tv rights then it wont rise in a hurry

I imagine this has been discussed but they should just look at dividing a bigger slice or the Origin pie amoung the players.

If for example 60,000 tickets are sold for a game at an average of say $50.00 per ticket you get a gate of 3 millon if you then divide half of that by 34 you get about $45,000 per player so an extra $135 k per year for an Origin player that would stay out of their respective clubs cap.

You could even have rating system where the better performing players get a bigger slice than say a bench player who only played a portion of the game.
