NSW will dump their selection panel and appoint a full-time coach as part of the greatest shake-up of the Blues in 30 years of Origin football.

I hope this is true, this is exactly what they need. The selectors can probably stay but have the coach as one of them, and he has final say.

It absolutely has to be a neutral coach as well. It is the only way to have a fair and well rounded team, rather than one picked on favourites and current team. It also allows the coach to only worry about these 3 games all year.

" NSWRL general manager Geoff Carr said yesterday the board had endorsed Canavan's sweeping review - which has been months in the making and involved the input of more than 100 people - and would implement all the changes so long as enough funds were available."

Hmmmm.... it took 100 people to come up with that, and now they might not have any money left to implement it.

If their rugby league careers don't work out, these people have a clear future in NSW Labor.

Interesting, I'd like to see how this turns out, about time the Blues have a shakeup, though they took their bloody time about it.
