Cairns has been one of the top 5 ODI players over the last few years. He bowls very well and bats better than most.

Symonds is talented cricketer, great fielder, pie chucker who somehow manages to get wickets (the old saying "sh!t gets wickets" i think applies), and very good bat on his day (He's day is too infrequent).

Fluffy is 100% correct regarding Cairns.

Yes Flipper, i would rather a NSW player in there (ie Katich), but not before Bevo who did not deserve to be dumped.

I have seen more of Cairns that anyone on here.
He doesn't just go in and balst from ball 1,which is why he is more effective than Symonds. He gets himself in and then picks his shots before launching an all out assault
