Well off we go for the first of 2 QLD trips in 2 weeks and hopefully we will be able to restore some NSW pride in FNQ come Saturday night.
The majority of the MWTS from NSW will be catching the 9.00am Virgin flight from Kingsford Smith on Saturday morning and meeting pre-flight at the Food court (Maccas end) in the domestic terminal for coffee and sticky buns.
Once we arrive at Townsville we’ll sort out transport to the Mercure Inn which will be home for the weekend and where we will catch up with Mark and the rest of the group.
There is a large shopping centre close by with cafe’s and restaurants so we’ll head there for lunch before a lounge around the pool with the usual banter and high jinks and then get ready to head to the game.
Pre-game drinks and a bite to eat will be at the hotel poolside bar from around 4.30 with the bus leaving for the ground at 6.30pm
For those that are booked with the travel group you will be given game tickets and a ticket for the coach when we meet at the poolside bar on the Saturday evening.
We will be in BAY 317 at Dairy Farmers (Lucky Omen for those that have travelled to Suncorp before)
Post game the bus will return to the Mercure and then on to the Holiday Inn for the official post match function to catch up with the players, coaching staff and officials.
Safe travels everyone...the weather forecast is for a balmy 26/27 degrees so it will be nice to get some respite from the Sydney wet and cold and hopefully we will see a big game from the boys and a handy 2 points in the bag for the flight home.
